Re: Tracking number - passport delivery with DX

Or when phoned, claim to have attempted delivery 5 mins earlier, when I've been home for the last 40 minutes looking out the front window to the street and waiting. No delivery vehicles. No missed delivery card. No text message/call. Funny, given that the attempt was supposedly made at 525 pm, 25 mi...

Re: Applying for BC as spouse of BC within days of naturalisation.

I arrived in May 2013 as the spouse of an ancestry visa holder. My spouse has been in the UK since March 2011.

Applying for BC as spouse of BC within days of naturalisation.

Hi all. After your advice to confirm my thoughts on my situation. I lived in the UK on and off for most of Jan 2011 to April 2013. This was on a special work visa, so none of this time counts towards residency. I returned to the UK in May 2013 on a spouse's visa (we were civil partnered in Nov 2012)...

Re: Proof of Residency

Thanks. We provided all that stuff for the ILR application. Hopefully P60s and a selection of bank statements as suggested by CR001 will suffice. Other than that, it should be a straight forward application.

Re: Proof of Residency

Yet to apply. One poster says bank statements ok. But then the council's document checking service says not statements. Just wanting to hear from someone who has actually been in the SAME position.

In this situation is it possible to also receive an entry stamp in your passport (useful when applying for UK c...

Re: Proof of Residency

Do you meet the residency requirements? You can't have spent more than 450 days outside the UK in the last 5 years or 90 days in the last 12 months. You can prove your residency with P60's to show you were working here for example. Yes, well within the 450/90 day rules. Was wondering what documents...

Proof of Residency

I intend to apply for British citizenship after having lived in the UK for over 6 years with more than 1 year with ILR. I understand that you need to prove that you have lived in the UK for 5 years which is shown by your passport's stamps. However, I have been a registered traveller for the last 18 ...

Re: ILR via Ancestry for Spouse - Urgent Help Please

As an aside, I am aware of at least one other case where the dependent spouse did not have 5 years residence and was granted ILR at the same time as the main applicant spouse. Not sure how long ago this was but more it was in the last couple of years. Even the caseworker instruction guidance is mut...

Set (O) Question 6.1

I'm applying for ILR via ancestry at a PEO on 25 Feb. My entry clearance was granted 07/03/11 and I arrived in the UK on 14/03/11. This might some stupid, but what do I put for Question 6.1? "6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into t...
