Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

This is what I received yesterday “Thank you for your email regarding your application for Naturalisation. Unfortunately we are unable to give time frames for specific cases. However, your application is moving along and we anticipate it will be done within the six month service level agreement. Tha...

Re: Child's passport given by mistake

Finally got round to sending the MN1 for my daughter. Would it be prudent to disclose the fact she has a british passport issued to her "by mistake"? not sure if this will not complicate her case.

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

I was looking to apply on 2 May but the NCS officer suggested waiting a few months due to me having 2 penalty charges (damn bus lanes). In the end I applied in Aug and by the looks of it this was a lucky decision ;)

Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Looks like May was a particularly tricky month for applications. I see people who applied in Septemeber already being in the "decided" bucket.

Re: Confirmation of country to live after naturalisation

To cover your back you could just send them a letter saying blah blah blah with regards to Section x.x I confirm that ......
If this is not sufficient they'll ask you for a proof. At least you'll have responded.

Cambridge Proficiency C2

Can someone advise if Cambridge Proficiency in English (C2) is accepted for the BC application? I thought it was but now I am confused as it's not on the GOV list. Here's an old list that went by https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/184681/response/471065/attach/html/3/Qualifications%20fact%20shee...

Re: Child's passport given by mistake

When you say "register" you're suggesting "naturalisation" right?

The lawfulness of WRS if decided in "our favour" will only move the date by 2 years (May 2009), our daughter was born in 2013 so won't change much for us.

Child's passport given by mistake

My daughter's British passport was granted by mistake (2014). I know because our son's passport application (two years later) was refused due to the lack of WRS (I have a registration cert but haven't reregistered when changing employers so I am short of 3 weeks to have completed a full year). Last ...

EEA PR - rejected application due to photocopies

Hi all,
Just had my PR application rejected due to the lack of original documents proving my employment in the qualifying period. The problem is that all my P60 or payslips are issued electronically so all I can provide is printouts. The same goes for bank statements. Any idea how to go about that?

You're right. So the PR document is still required but it's not the issue date that determines the 12m period.

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

I'm just worried that WRS has been broken because renewal wasn't within 30 days. Surely they should use the application date rather then issue date of extended WRS with Employer B. Not my fault if HO haven't processed this in time but then arguing with them could be costly. If the renewal wasn't du...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Thanks again! Unfortunately after spending 2.5h filling the form and looking for all relevant info I just came across this: My 1st WRS was issued on 18.12.2009 with Employer A, I have started working for Employer B(still my employer now) on 10.05.2010 but updated WRS says issue date is 17.06.2010 s...

Hi, I hope someone can help. I'm and EEA national (Polish) and need to fill in Section B in Q9 as an accession worker. I entered UK in Oct 2007 but haven't done my WRS till Dec 2009. I have to list all the 'illegal' employement in 9.18 - could/will this affect the PR decision? (I'm all ok from Dec ...

Re: EEA PR - Question 9.16

My PR clock started again on 26.10.2010 when i (agency) reaplied. This would mean I completed 12 months in October 2011 as I stayed with that employer for 3 years.
