When you received the decision made emai if they refused the visa application after how long of that email they refund the NHS surcharge back into the account? Yes. You do fall under eu directive. Don't have to live or work in other eu country to fall under with free movement directive.

I'm British I got schengen visa for my wife under eu directive. We never been to that eu country before we got the visa.

The direct ferry to Ireland from France is one way. The other way is the ferry from Calais to Dover and than from Fishguard or Liverpool to Ireland.
