Going for ILR. But getting paid more than listed in COS.

Hi all, I'm in the process of putting together my ILR application and while triple-checking everything, I've found myself in a rather strange spot. My COS has my salary down at 40k but when I started it was decided that I'd actually get 42k as that was more in line with what colleagues were getting ...

Re: Odd ILR Advice From Immigration Lawyer

Yea that wouldn't surprise me. They could just be lazy and give the same speech and ask for the same docs for all applications. Then later work out what's actually going in the application. Thankfully I think it's all back under control. Been in touch with another their 2 to Set-o person from the ...

Re: Odd ILR Advice From Immigration Lawyer

Thanks for the quick reply. It did seem a bit out of left field. Glad to hear this isn't considered part of a normal application. The advice on here seems to be quite good and consistent, which is what I've been basing my preparation on for the last year or so. Have to admit, it's a shock when a ...

Odd ILR Advice From Immigration Lawyer

Hi All, So I had a consultation with an Immigration lawyer about getting SET-O after being Teir 2 for 5 years. Before this, I was Tier 5 for two years. They had a rather different opinion and requirements form what I commonly see on this site. While I have all my employment and time out of the ...

Re: Tier 2 extension. Premium 'Application Date'

Hi All, Quick update for anyone who comes looking for info for themselves. 42 days out I tried booking I tried to make an appointment online, as 42 days was what I had read online. It showed the dates out to about 2 months, but most days from about a month onward had no availability. It was ...

Re: Tier 2 extension. Premium 'Application Date'

OK, sounds like I only really have one option then. I'll try book my appointment for the week after I get back from holiday but before my visa expires.

Cheers,
Dominic

Re: Tier 2 extension. Premium 'Application Date'

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess my only realy concern when choosing to have the appointment before or after the trip, was which is lower risk when I return (on a New Zealand passport). Having the visa extension approved but no BRP card, or entering with a visa with only a week left on it (even ...

Tier 2 extension. Premium 'Application Date'

Hi all, After looking over all the other posts I have decided the best option for my situation (expires 14 April, but I'll be traveling to Europe 2-10 April) is to do the face to face premium service. I understand that you can apply up to 28 days before your current visa expires. My question is for ...
