Have you provided evidence of your English language ability in a previous application?

Hi, My spouse has an ILR and is applying for her citizenship application. This question under "English Language" section: "Have you provided evidence of your English language ability in a previous application?" is somewhat confusing. What should be the answer to this question (Yes / No) if the appli...

Re: Questions on ILR application for my spouse

Hi. Thanks for the info. She hasn't used any benefits. And I only get the Child Benefit (which, as mentioned earlier, goes back to HMRC in its entirety). Can I check the following with you? Since my wife is the only applicant in this application, should the answer to the following question be a 'no'...

Questions on ILR application for my spouse

Hi all, A quick search under ILR topic category hasn't given me definitive answers to my questions. If these have been answered prior to this message, please point me to those threads. Thanks! Context: I got my ILR back in 2019. Got my citizenship in 2021. My spouse entered the UK in Feb 2017 on Tie...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

The IDV app was discontinued on 21st Sep except Tier 4 applicants. Strange that the UKVCAS doesn't have a notification on this. Anyways, I must thank you CULLINAN. I did login just past midnight and was able to book an appointment for 21 Dec 2020. I've also phoned the Home Office and they said that...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

There is no IDV invitation anymore. It is the past. You must book an appointment. You should log in the appointment booking system tonight 00:01 AM Tuesday (less than 3 hours from now). You will get an appointment for 21st Dec. You should have done this way earlier as its documented on this forum r...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Hi all, Thanks for the useful discussion / info here. I've tried following the discussion but couldn't find if this has been asked already. I submitted my application for Naturalisation on 24 Oct 2020 and received the confirmation (of receipt from UKVI) the same day. However, I have been unable to b...

Re: Extension of PBS dependant when main applicant has already switched to ILR

Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. Regarding 2), wouldn't putting an end date that doesn't exist on any document considered incorrect or false information? If this has to be the case then HO really must consider their rules or disambiguate the form. I read on a related thread in this forum t...

Re: Extension of PBS dependant when main applicant has already switched to ILR

Further questions on application form: 1) When I fill in the online application form on behalf of my wife, I have to provide my latest PBS route (as per the information in the application form), which was Tier 1 Exceptional Talent. However, I'm not sure what Biometric Resident Permit information (pe...

Extension of PBS dependant when main applicant has already switched to ILR

Hi, I've searched on the boards but couldn't find an appropriate thread with this question. Please correct me (and point me to the resource) if this has been answered before. I (main applicant) acquired my ILR in Oct 2019. Before that I was on Tier 1 Exceptional Talent (Jul 2018 to Oct 2019) and pri...

5. "Do you currently hold, or have you ever held, any other nationality or citizenship?" I said "No". Is this correct?
That depends. What are the parents' nationalities?
Pakistani.

Hi, I've read a few threads under this topic but haven't really found what I'm looking for. Therefore, apologies if this is indeed a repeated thread. And a thanks in advance for pointers to relevant pieces of information. I acquired my ILR this month (Oct) and my son was born in August this year whi...

ILR eligibility - Switch Tier 2 to Tier 1 Exceptional Talent

Hi, Would my time on Tier 2 be counted towards ILR eligibility if I switch my visa from Tier 2 to Tier 1 Exceptional Talent. I know for sure that time on Tier 2 for ILR eligibility is not counted when switching from Tier 2 to Tier 1 entrepreneur. Do same rules apply for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent? Th...

I would really appreciate if someone could answer the questions. I've asked a solicitor and they seem to indicate that redundancy is reversible.

Re: Tier 2 dependent divorce

I forgot to follow up on this. I did divorce and the Home Office curtailed her leave to 28 days where she had to leave within that time.

Tier 2 change of sponsor and redundancy

Hi, I have a few questions that might not have been answered previously. 1. I am currently changing my sponsor for Tier 2. The new application was submitted by new sponsor on 9 March 2018 through the normal route (that takes 8 weeks). My current contract with current employer ended on 31 March 2018....

Tier 2 dependent divorce

Hi, I'm on Tier 2 visa and got married a few months ago. I got my wife Tier 2 dependent visa to bring her here. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for us. Things look bad and might end up towards a divorce. I have a mortgage as well, therefore I am trying to find the best possible way which saves me ...
