First UK passport application - keeping the other passport?

Hi all, I'm applying for my first UK passport and after reading through the government website this caught my eye: You have a certificate of naturalisation or registration You’ll need both: your naturalisation or registration certificate the passport you used to come into the UK or the foreign passp...

Re: Confused about required documents

Not sure if this helps. I applied online using the old service. I posted 45 payslips for the period being an employee, and a degree certificate with a letter from the university showing the dates of study for the period being a student. Applied in December, approved in February. Payslips were the mo...

Re: SHORTEST DURATION ,QUICKEST WAY from CITIZENSHIP to PASSPORT PROCESS.

Whilst I agree that HMPO on their website say they do not allow fast track for first time applications, ironically if you call them and ask, they allow it. I applied for my first passport after naturalisation on the super-express priority option (call before 10AM, pick up at 1PM - c.£90 extra). Thi...

Hi. I am wondering whether it's possible to cancel a British passport and apply ROA - COE to my other passport? Thanks I was also curious of your question! This is what I found - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/740121/Guide_ROA_Sept_20...

Re: UKVCAS or Old Service?

After completing your online application, UKVI will send you an email notification after a couple of days. It’s annoying you don’t get an email confirmation that your biometrics and supporting docs have been received too, but there’s no risk that they won’t receive it after your appointment. The ol...

Re: UKVCAS or Old Service?

there are only few ukvcas services that offer free appointments. and the available time slots could be in the middle of February. i think there is no way to know if there are available appointments until you pay for the service. or maybe they can tell you with their phone centre (£2.5 per minute). ...

I do apologise in advance because I’m sure this topic has been covered in the past. But just to check, especially with the new UKVCAS in place. I know it’s ok to travel while pending naturalisation. But what happens if you’re approval letter comes in the post while you are abroad? Does your current...

Re: Child waiting for MN1 travelling abroad

Brazil citizens have a visa-free entry into the UK similarly to US citizens if I'm correct? Meaning the airline should allow you on board as you don't require a visa? The question is what the border force would say if you ask for a "up to 6 month visitor stamp" and the child is actually coming to li...

Re: Need to change driving licence-shall I use the new DL for Naturalisation application

You don't need your Driving Licence for citizenship. You'll need your ILR, passport, LITUK test result and proof of having lived here for the required period of time (if you're non-EEA past visas and the stamps in your passport would suffice). If you're married to a UK citizen, you'll need your par...

Re: B1 english test

Nothing happens if I don't get a citizenship. When I expire PR, I can renew it? Is that right? PR doesn't expire. If Brexit happens and UK leaves EU, you will need to exchange your PR for settlement status (cannot do that right now as EU Settlement Scheme will go live by 29th March). But don't forg...
