Re: Email from HO , Please Help

You might well be right. But this was just an observation based on looking at August timelines (when I applied). And in there, I noticed that everyone was posting the updates when they got their approval. And there were 2 other posts (in addition to mine) where we were waiting for longer than every...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Hi ! I have completed my online application form and I have all the necessary documents sorted and ready to go. I'm using the NCS so I have to wait a few weeks before submitting it. There's one question that i'm not to sure of: "Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or ab...

EEA - Both P60 & employer letter necessary?

Hi everyone, I'm an EEA citizen applying for citizenship. I've got my NDRS+JCAP appointment next week and had gathered all my documents including P60s from the last 5 years. When I called to make my appointment, the chap on the phone strongly suggested that I should have employer letters. My old emp...

Second income from new self employment - help

I'm filling in the online form and am not sure what to do with my employment. I have a full-time job but last tax year did some freelance side work that went over the tax treshold of £1000 for side income. I'll have to register as a sole trader and do a tax return - the sole trader deadline is Octob...

Gap between degree and job - Self-sufficient or jobseeker?

Hi everyone, I'm filling in the application for PR and have come across a little problem. I finished my degree at the end of August 2012, then went back to Germany for a few weeks holiday, and returned in the beginning of October 2012 (Total holiday was about 5 weeks). I then had a job interview wit...

EHIC without start date?

Hey everyone, I'm filling in the online application. I was a student between 2010 and 2012 and had CSI from my home country. As evidence I have an EHIC card that runs out 31/12/2012. Unfortunately it doesn't have a start date on it. Did anyone have success applying with an EHIC like that? Or do I ne...

Re: EU National applying for PR - eligibility/proving reside

I assume you are aware that you cannot simply apply for a British passport if you are not British  If you are over 18, you need to apply for British citizenship by naturalisation, and once that has been accepted and you have attended the ceremony, then you can apply for a British passport. Y...

Re: EU National applying for PR - eligibility/proving reside

Brilliant, thanks so much. Regarding bank statements - how many do I need? I'm assuming I don't need entire years worth but maybe just two or three months per year? And do they have to ordered from the bank and sent out or can I download and print them as well? (Checked online banking, all the state...

EU National applying for PR - eligibility/proving residence?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to see if I can apply for PR and then straight for a british passport by proving PR for six years. I originally came to the UK in 2009 but had a six month absence in 2010 so am aiming for my clock to start from fall 2010 onwards, when I came back. I was a student from 2010 to...
