Re: After Citizenship Ceremony, what's the next step?

Did you get the invitation letter immediately? Or you had to wait? If so, how long? I think I was approved sometime in June. I never received any approval letter or email. Received the ceremony invitation from my local consulate at the end of August. AFAIK, Home Office delivers citizenship certific...

Re: After Citizenship Ceremony, what's the next step?

Congrats sevendust12. You can start your passport application here after you have received your certificate of registration. Since you already have a BNO passport, the process should be fairly straight forward and quick. I got my BC passport within 3 weeks from posting the documents. It's a "Change ...

Re: UK Home Office Postal address, is this correct?

You can call the helpline on +44 300 123 2253 and ask for an address to send your enquiry letter via post. Otherwise, post your enquiry to the same address where you sent your application.
Good luck.

Re: UK Home Office Postal address, is this correct?

Did you email Home Office to any of the following addresses? They usually respond in 3-5 working days.

UKVINationalityOverseas@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

I hope you hear a good news soon.

Re: I think I need to complete form UKM

My letter gave the reference as UKN-UK-12-345678-X. To book the VFS appointment I entered UKN12345678 - i.e. I did not enter any dashes or spaces, did not enter the -UK- part or the letter at the very end. Just UKN and the numbers worked for me. That's a relief. Saves me another round of chasing UK...

Re: BC Registration application using Form B(OS), please hel

I need some advice from forum experts. So I have applied to register as a British Citizen using form B(OS) and my application is being processed. Under "What you will need to send with the form" section in the form B(OS) guide, it is mentioned to send the correct fee, British National (Overseas) pas...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

He called them up and found out it was the fee payment that got declined. I'm in Australia and still haven't received any letter from UKVI about the declined transaction...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

I made a postal application (Form B(OS)) and it was delivered on 4th April. Still no acknowledgement or money taken. Just over the 4 weeks mark now. People who applied 1 week after me in April through NCS have had their money taken  I used my partner's credit card details on the fee slip. Ther...

Re: UKM letters from HO to Australia - Who can sign for them

I have also applied for registration from Australia earlier this month and haven't received any mail from UKVI, yet. Re: BC Registration application using Form B(OS), please hel

Nationality can be conferred by action of law and may not be voluntary. There was a case on these forums of a BNO who was not ethnically Chinese, but lost out on registration because he was born in Pakistan, a country that automatically conferred citizenship by birth in the country. I have read tha...

All pages, including blank ones. The NCS staff are also authorised to certify them. I am not sure if self-certification/attestation would be sufficient. Thanks a lot. This is really useful information. I'm going to get the passport pages certified from a Notary Public or Justice of Peace because Br...

Re: BC Registration application using Form B(OS), please hel

As a BNO, I presume that you are from Hong Kong. If so, are either of your parents ethnically Chinese? Neither of my parents are ethnically Chinese. I was registered as BNO in 1997 and lost my Pakistani citizenship automatically and I have a letter from the consulate stating the same. It's also men...

BC Registration application using Form B(OS), please help.

Hi all, I couldn't find any post regarding this British Citizenship registration pathway, therefore, I'm creating this new topic. I'm a British National (oveseas) and don't hold any other form of citizenship and nationality. I don't live in the UK. I'm thinking about applying to register as a Britis...
