Biometrics

Hi Everyone Does anyone know when the biometrics for visa started? So far I found that BRP system started around end of 2007, so it may have started that time as I can't remember if I have given finger biometrics around 2005 or 2006. If anybody can remember please let me know, also did VFS centres t...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Definitely, that delay is impacting on people lives. It has a huge impact on our lives just to be left in limbo like that. I don't think the Home Office sees it this way. Applicants for naturalisation already have ILR, which means that they have most of the rights of British citizens within the UK....

You don't need a solicitor to apply for SAR. I have just filled one a month back for myself.
Thanks for sharing. So how did you mange the ID verification? If you can give a little more details that how you did, would be helpful.

SAR can be applied here online: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/saru

Still think 2010 is the correct date but in my view this is not a deal breaker - disclosing your applications will of course refer to your prior period in the UK.
So you think I should use 2010 and obviously mention the previews application right?

Re: First arrive in the UK?

The question in the application asks about "any" immigration applications in the UK or abroad. There is no time limit. Provide the details you have available. Don't rely on UKVI having all your details going back years. Naturalisation is a different section from visas. Thanks for your input and I a...

Re: First arrive in the UK?

From 1st hand experience, I put down date when I entered with view of remaining permanently/long stay which as @alterhase58 stated rightly. Even the guidance explains same, My application was successful based on above. So should be Sept 2010 in my own opinion. I agree as well but not sure about dis...

Re: First arrive in the UK?

Hi alterhase58, thanks for your prompt reply. I am not sure if I have those info looking back beyond 2010. Don't you think it should be enough if I cover the period from 2010-2019/2020 regarding application history. Although the HO reference I am using is the same one which was issued when I was ref...

Re: (non EU) Germany to UK on Tier 2 worth it?

You have analysed the whole situation yourself. I dont think its wise to depend on others opinion. But if i were you then I wouldn't come to UK atleast until the brexit issue is resolved. However there is always a demand for software developers in the UK and mostly all the developer companies has th...

Thanks for your reply.
Even if I expand it doesn't indicate what type of document they want, it only gives option to upload the file.
