ILR Application, Needless UK Re-entry Stamp May Confuse Immigration Officer

I am due to apply for ILR Set O for my wife and son (PBS Dependant Route). I have filled the application, and I have paid the fee for 5-day priority service but I am yet to find an appointment to book. I have another question though, that is worrying me and I wanted to know the opinion of experts he...

Cohabitation Documents for ILR

Hi all, I am due to apply for my wife and son for ILR (PBS dependants). My query is regarding the cohabitation documents I need to submit to support wife's application. We are applying on the basis of 5 years of residency but I see from the advice here that we need to provide proof of cohabitation f...

Re: ILR for PBS dependant, 11 months continuous absence abroad..

Hi CR001, In a very similar question posted before in this post https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/set-o-dependant-online-application-and-public-funds-t271504.html You had advised that we should provide details. I understand that, that post is over 2 years old now. However,...

Re: ILR for PBS dependant, 11 months continuous absence abroad..

Presumably, the confusion is because during the application, there was a section about myself (the main sponsor) and it made me wonder if that makes me "part" of the application.. If only, the application form had replaced "part of the application" with "an applicant", there wouldn't have been confu...

Re: ILR for PBS dependant, 11 months continuous absence abroad..

I have been checking the form and I have two more queries. In the online application (SET-O), there is a finance section that asks: Do you or anyone else who is part of this application receive any public funds? This application is for my wife and son who are on Tier 2 dependant visa. However, durin...

Thank you Zimba.
Just to confirm, for ILR qualifying period for PBS dependant, I can use the visa issue date and can I also apply 28 days before the qualifying period?

ILR for PBS dependant, 11 months continuous absence abroad..

Hi all, I have 2 questions and I'd be grateful if anyone can look through our case and answer please.. Wife and Son (born abroad) got new PBS dependant visa in May 2016 and entered UK on 14 June. I was on Tier 2 visa at the time. They stayed with me for 2 months and then left UK. There was a long ga...

Re: child born abroad citizenship

Thanks CR001. Just to confirm, the last point about otherwise by descent means that my child born abroad will have the same right as my second child born in the UK in terms of passing on citizenship to their children. Is that correct ? (both will be able to pass on British Citizenship to their child...

child born abroad citizenship

Hi guys, I have been trying to find the relevant rules to help answer the following but to no avail. I would be grateful if you can answer the following and refer to the right source for it please. I am a British citizen (naturalised in 2018, after 5 years on Tier 2). I have one child born in 2020 w...

Re: Tier 2 Dependent for Child

A suggestion: Apply for tier 2 dependent visa for both your husband and child from within the UK. I don't believe the current employer has any say in this. Both husband and child are well within their rights to get a dependent visa. Once the husband gets a dependent visa, he can then choose to trave...

Re: Tier 2 Visa + Supplementary Income from Blogging?

Its not a second job, you are getting a new stream of income as a by-product of a hobby. I find ot quite a stretch to interpret income from blog as a second job..
(The restriction is on supplementary job, not supplementary income) .

Re: Depedent PBS Tier 2 general visa extension

By the way, it has been assumed that you applied for your ILR based on you being 5 years on Tier 2. If for example you had applied for ILR on the basis of long residency, then your dependents will have to apply for the FLR type visa..

Re: Tier 2 redundancies

A friend of mine got redundant about 5 months ago, and he is still looking for a job. He hasn't received any curtailment letter. And once the curtailment letter arrives, it is 60 days from the date of curtailment letter. Most of the cases I have heard or know in person, it take months to arrive so I...

There is an email address you can use to ask for update, it is in one of the other threads in this forum. I hope you hear soon. Out of curiosity, did you not have the option go use your local council nationality checking service where they photocopy your documents and you get to keep all the origina...

Hi Discretion,

Thanks for the reply, and congratulations on getting your application done and dusted. Actually I applied in the beginning of August, and I got the confirmation on 07th August... so based on the timelines on this forum, my application is delayed...and I don't know why... :(
