Re: Spouse of Irish Citizen - Stamp 4 Renewal

Thank you for your post, this is what I expected was the case. The immigration officer told me "I need clarification from the department", and then proceeded to suggest I contact the Citizenship email & telephone, of all places! I proceeded to email them, I'm not expecting a reply though. In the mea...

Spouse of Irish Citizen - Stamp 4 Renewal

Has anyone here who's Irish gone through the Stamp 4 renewal process for their spouse recently. My wife's stamp 4 is up in early April. The local immigration officier has told me by email that local officiers don't issue a 2nd Stamp 4 (I'm awaiting their reply), even though the INIS website says thi...

Re: Marriage to Non-EU

The only question that I still have is, for proof of address - I can provide that for me but she has only been here on holidays (6 times over 2.5 years) and would have nothing with her name on it going to my home address. Will it matter if she doesn't have that? maybe someone here might know.. I'm ...

Re: During the Join spouse visa application

Actually... something else I forgot to share with you about timelines. When my wife was applying for a visa in the Philippines back in 2016, like yourself I wanted more clarity on some things, so I rang the Irish Embassy in Singapore which handles all the visa applictions from the Consulate in the P...

Re: During the Join spouse visa application

Hi If you are planning to come back to Ireland, and during that stage your spouse’s multiple C visa is still valid. You can use thay to enter here in Ireland and then when you are in Ireland, apply for stamp 4 for your spouse, through local GNIB office. You don’t need to apply for visa D long term ...

Re: EEA Family Permit or Tourist Visa?

Thanks for your link. That clarifies that. So... we've an application gone in for an EEA Family Permit, with the documents submitted online. Next thing is to attend the appointment in 2 weeks. The online form is such a pain, there's so much there that should be clear that just isn't clear. I had to ...

EEA Family Permit or Tourist Visa?

I'm not really clear on what my wife would require to travel to the UK (obviously before the end of October). I'm an Irish citizen living in Ireland, and my wife who's from the Philippines lives with me here under a Stamp 4 as my spouse. We were looking at travelling to the UK for a brief holiday be...

Re: Citizenship by marriage to an Irish citizen

I think it depends on the countries you've lived in.

I'm guessing it's usually not required, but if you've lived in a country that the Irish authorities can't access records, they'll have to ask for it then...

Re: Citizenship by marriage to an Irish citizen

Police clearance is new to me, its not mentioned at all in the required documents list that comes with the application or am I missing something? It's a question I had upon reading the thread aswell. I'd be interested in hearing more about it. I think you're correct though - Police Clearence is not...

Re: Fiancée Visa Ireland

It's a frustrating situation to be in. It can be very hard with all the conflicting information. My wife (who's from the Philippines) and I were in the same place a number of years ago. We looked at getting married in Ireland, the Philippines and even Hong Kong. However in the end we got married in ...

Re: Update Stamp 4!

Which method did you use to apply for Stamp 4? You both should be able to get the Stamp 4 on the spot according to the 1st sentence here, given Brazilian nationals don't need visas to come here. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/inis/pages/wp07000024 A. If you are a non visa required national who has entere...

Re: Please help. Stamp 4 for my wife

Hi Guys, I’m sorry to jump in but I have been reading your post and I have a bit of a trouble understanding what type of stamp 4 you aretalking about. It's the Stamp 4 that the spouses of Irish citizens living in Ireland get that's being referred to in this thread. Because you're Greek, it's the St...

Re: Bringing spouse over

I have read that you can get another person other than you to act as the sponsor. So... you find somebody who meets the 40k EUR requirement who is willing to sponsor you. You then get a written notarized letter from them saying they'll support the couple (you both) while your husband finds work, alo...

We go...

Re: Non EU spouse, arrived in Ireland, what next?

We were never asked for proof of address when we went to the immigration officier. He of course asked for an address but never required proof of it in the line of a utility bill or anything like that. Your mileage will vary depending on who you meet on the day. Hi do you mind if I ask you something...

Re: Spouse of Irish National Stamp 4 Application - Help!

Sounds like you've just got seriously unlucky. :( Maybe there's something buried about being on Stamp 2 in the policy guidelines. You might have been better off you never mentioned anything about "Long Distance" at all. You could try getting a TD to argue your case, but I don't know how much luck yo...

Re: Spouse of Irish National Stamp 4 Application - Help!

My wife (who's non-EU) came into the country on a work visa shortly after we got married in her home country. We had been long distance for almost two years prior, we never lived together before. Just two days after she arrived we went to the immigration officier to regisiter her for Stamp 4. Typica...

Re: Irish Citizen with Non EU Spouse.

1: I can confirm that they accept that. My wife (who is from The Philippines) was able to get a PPS number and PSC card with a utility bill in one of my parents names along with a letter from them saying she was living there. This was well before we got utility bills in our own names. On a side not...

Re: Bringing Non EU spouse to Ireland

I'm an Irish Citizen and my wife is from the Philippines. Both times we've met with the immigration officier (we live outside Dublin) thus far we haven't been asked for proof of address at all. We've been asked for an address, but not a utility bill or some proof of that address. You may not even be...
