They probably post the certificate first to the council before notifying the applicant. Can i ask which email you have used for the update and how long have you been waiting?

Yes they make their own rules. Been waiting since August. Nearly 7 months now. Some are getting answers within a month or 2 and even moaning that it took too long lol.
Same here. Waiting since August. It is unbelievable that you can’t actually track your application giving the amount you pay. What makes it more despicable is people who have applied after get the response before you. I think it depends on who is dealing with the case.
Not sure i trust the HO. Nationality plays a big role and definitely some are discriminated more than others. Some have applied in October and got answers others are waiting for 6 months.
I thought they would process with the name as it would appear on your passport? You will be able to view it on the certificate once you have the ceremony with the council. Doubt you can change it now. Maybe later.

Managed to get the priority service @2 am. There doesn't seem to be much option for biometrics apart from paying £100+ Which i think is disgusting. We used to do it at the post office for £20 and in the same day. Now you need to wait a month.
