You are asking for trouble really, why not delay your application until you are back from your 2 months of travels?

Re: Credit card cancelled (AN forms submitted 7 days ago!)

I just wanted to thank everybody for their advice.

On Monday 19th I got a letter from the HO including a new payment slip for me to fill in, and the biometrics letter. Both are done now.

Re: Credit card cancelled (AN forms submitted 7 days ago!)

Highly unlikely it is HO or NCS, otherwise we would all have had problems. Given the amount of cyber crime and card details being stolen in the UK it could have been anywhere. I know, I know, but the timing... In any case, I will report back with what UKVI writes back with just so others searching ...

Re: Credit card cancelled (AN forms submitted 7 days ago!)

Interestingly the only place where I can think someone could have stolen my credit card details, including the full name, address and 3 digit code at the back is from the AN application payment slip. Anywhere else the card is used online or through chip and PIN which should both be pretty secure (a...

Re: Credit card cancelled (AN forms submitted 7 days ago!)

So they will not just cancel the application and send everything back to me? That's a relief, I was starting to feel a bit sick, after all the effort that had gone into it.

Nothing I can do to give them new credit card details now then?

Credit card cancelled (AN forms submitted 7 days ago!)

Hello all, On Tuesday 6th June I applied through Camden's Council JCAP service for both naturalization and passport. The special delivery was received and signed for the following day. Today Halifax flagged a number of dodgy transactions on my credit card attempted today and they have cancelled the ...

Re: Sickness insurance?

To get the Document Certifying Permanent Residency (DCPR) you need to apply based on a 5 year qualifying period. If you were a student or not working for any of those 5 years then you need private health insurance for that period. Now... you decide which 5 year period you use to apply for DCPR. For ...

Re: NCS appointments in London: Only available in 6 weeks!

I am not placing any time restrictions whatsoever in my search, that's what's so surreal... 6 weeks completely fully booked? Westminster has nothing available, you cannot even book. Checking zone 2 now and lot of them do not let you book online so will have to call. Others do not offer the JCAP serv...

NCS appointments in London: Only available in 6 weeks!

After obtaining my EEA DCPR document in August last year I have finally got all documentation ready to apply for naturalization. When I was checking online last year there were lots of NCS appointments available, normally on the same day or at a push the following day or two (I was checking Islingto...

Re: SAR for PR date

I read their reply as meaning that what you sent them indicates the solicitor certifies the photocopy is a true reflection of your ID, but what they want is the solicitor to certify that the photo in the ID photocopy is actually you.

Re: Acceptable profession list - IT ?

Thanks all. One more question : Is there a difference b/w 'director of registered company' or working through an umbrella company ? Would the later not qualify as acceptable ? Under an umbrella one is an employee of the umbrella instead of the director of a limited company. Completely different str...

Re: Acceptable profession list - IT ?

If the IT Consultant works through his own limited company then I guess he'd qualify under one of these:
- Director/Manager/Personnel Officer of a VAT registered Company
or
- Manager/Personnel officer (of limited company)

The experts will be along soon and they can clarify.

Re: Teared cover passport: Apply only with spanish ID?

With NCS you get to keep all your documents. :) Yes, yes, I know that, but that is not what I am asking... Ok, I will rephrase my question, I apply through NCS with passport A. A week later I accidentally put passport A in the washing machine so get a new passport B. Do I need to tell the home offi...

So, spanish ID card and damaged passport to NCS next week.

In October, after my weekend away, I come back with a new passport. Do I have to tell the home office? Do I have to send it to them?

Teared cover passport: Apply only with spanish ID?

Hello all, So yesterday I finally received my DCPR (qualifying period Dec 2004 to Dec 2009). I had applied for early return of my spanish passport and got it back 2 months ago but somehow when I stored it I crunched it and the burgundy cover has half come off the rest of the passport. Fortunately I ...

Last year it used to be 1.5 and 3 months respectively. Now more like 3/4 months and 6/7 months.
