Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

We have have to upgrade our application to Premium and go to Liverpool tomorrow from London. This whole process is so costly ( extra £600 on top of the £2100). Lets just hope this is it...until naturalisation!!! Applied for ILR: 22nd June 2016 Money taken: 27th June Biometrics dated: 27th JUly Biom...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

I think you have to respond to the "statement of Additional grounds" regardless of your case, as long as the form is attached to your Biometric form whichever way you choose. Remember we discussed this on this forum in early August! I have been receiving monthly email since August from HO. But you ...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

I never received any communication from the HO at all except for my biometric enrolment letter. No emails nothing.i didn't get an additional grounds letter either, what is that for?? I'm not sure why we got the additional grounds letter. I hope it doesn't mean there was a problem! We have received a...

Re: not receive acknowledgement letter/biometric letter

That link looks very dodgy indeed and I've not heard of anyone receiving text messages from home office. I think if you were illegally here, they wouldn't send you a text. It's quite common for the biometric/acknowledgement letter to take over a month at the moment. I applied on June 22nd and only ...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

Hi sarah888 and chelsea_arv, Did you both receive acknowledgement e-mails every month? I've not had a single e-mail after applying in June. Also, did they send you an 'Additional Grounds' response letter? Cheers, Nick Yes, i have received an email each month and we received an Additional Grounds le...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

Hi all, Hi Chelsea_arv not yet still waiting!! I thought with ancestry being so simple that it would have been quicker but I guess not! Hopefully soon, so sick of waiting.. When did you apply? That sucks! We applied on June 22nd. I thought the exact same thing...Ancestry is so simple, i don't have ...

Re: SET (O) ILR application with Ancestry visa

I'm beginning to wish we had also gone for the extra premium. Not because we need the passports and documents, etc (saving for big holiday as a reward while we wait) but because we still haven't received any acknowledgement at all. My partner is being chased at work for it but my work hasn't asked ...

Re: SET (O) ILR application with Ancestry visa

Hi Chelsea, My partner and I both recently applied for ILR under ancestry category after spending 5 years here in the UK. It seems that it is dependent on how busy things are in general, rather than what category of SET (O) you've applied under. Our applications were received 3 weeks ago today but ...

SET (O) ILR application with Ancestry visa

Has anybody applied by post for ILR with an Ancestry Visa and if so how long did it take to get an answer? Is it a quicker process as all we need to prove is ancestry, therefore there is not as much paperwork to look through and confirm?

Any advice would help.

Thank you so much for the information. We are on UK Ancestry visas. We are at the end of our 5 years so we would be applying to settle i'm assuming. We want to get our British Passports so we will fill out the SET(O) form then. I can't believe how expensive the whole process is, from the english tes...

SOUTH AFRICAN...DO I NEED TO DO AN ENGLISH TEST?

Hi, I am an English speaking South African, do i need to do an English test before applying? Also, which form do i need to fill out...SET_O or FLR_O ?The price difference is huge but they seem so similar. And if you apply in person do you get your ILR approval on the day? What is the time limit if y...
