PR card after ceremony

Hi all, Today I attended the naturalisation ceremony and now I am officially a British citizen 8) A question: on the website they wrote that one must return the biometric residence permit (BRP) within 5 days of the ceremony, but does not mention what has to be done with permanent residence (PR) card...

URGENT cover letter for additional evidence

Hi all, I am an EEA citizen who applied for naturalisation. I have been requested by the HO to send additional evidence about my residence in the ONLY for the year in which I had permanent residence status. Throughout that period I have only been a student. I'm trying to collect as many documents as...

Re: Request for additional documents (EEA)

The letter was from October 2015. Well there lies the problem. The letter is not sufficient evidence that you actually attended University. That letter merely states your status at that moment in time and your intentions . I think the request for extra evidence is justified. Now from your second po...

Re: Request for additional documents (EEA)

Hi all, I also have a few extra doubts about my case. 1) In the annex to the letter asking for additional evidence of residence explicitly for the period in which I had already been granted permanent residence they list the possible documents I could send to proved such residence. For students, the ...

Re: Request for additional documents (EEA)

The letter was from October 2015. What puzzles me is that if the letter were not a good enough evidence they would have asked for additional evidence for the previous years too, since I provided the same sort of evidence. Anyway yes, that was the only evidence I sent. I thought it was pretty solid t...

Re: Request for additional documents (EEA)

Thanks for the answer! I will probably send everything I have, at this stage. I hope they have gone through the rest and that was the only issue, since I guess otherwise they would have rejected it :o Anyway, the evidence I sent was a letter from my university (copied by the NCS) stating that I will...

Request for additional documents (EEA)

Hi all, I applied for UK naturalisation at the end of January at the Camden (London) NCS. I just received a letter asking for additional evidence. I have a couple questions about it: 1) The letter says I should provide the additional info by the 10th of March. I hope it's a typo, since the letter is...

Re: Fast track SAR for PR date?

It’s bizarre, how the experience of the fast track SAR differs from applicant to applicant. When applied in early November, didn’t include a covering letter with any additional requests, just the form (with ticked ‘IT records’ box), and copies of IDs as instructed. Got an acknowledgement within a w...

Re: Questions about subject access request (SAR)

My SAR response also contained photocopies of every page of the EEA(PR) application I submitted :) Hi Ohara, Thanks for the information, do you reckon this information would be available using the fast-track SAR? Because the website states that when using this route less information is disclosed, b...

Questions about subject access request (SAR)

Hi all, I have two questions about a subject access request (SAR): 1) I'm an EEA citizen and I successfully applied for a PR card last year. If I asked for a SAR, would it include a copy of the application form I submitted for it? This is because I stupidly did not scan that form, so I do not rememb...

Days of absence from the UK for EEA citizen

Hi all, I have a question regarding absences from the UK. I am an Italian citizen, and I have lived in the UK since 2010. Last January I successfully applied for a PR card, and this January I am planning to apply for naturalisation. Since I am an EEA citizen, my passport doesn't get stamped when I l...

Question about documents for JCAP application

Hi all, In January I will apply for naturalisation at my local NCS via the JCAP route (i.e. applying for passport and naturalisation at the same time). I have a question: what additional documents do I need to bring to the appointment, on top of those that I need for the naturalisation application? ...

Re: Question about work history (Section 1.45)

Student. Your work appears to be supplementary and marginal to your activity as a student. You should mention it in your timeline but caseworker will probably disregard it once they've crosschecked and verified with HMRC that all is above board. (Post moved to appropriate forum: BC) Thanks noajthan...

Question about work history (Section 1.45)

Hi all, I am an Italian citizen, and I obtained a PR document last year. I will be able to apply for UK citizenship next January, but I am already starting to collect the documents. I had a look at the application form, and I am really confused about section 1.45 (Details of your employment). I move...

Naturalisation for EEA citizen, when can I apply?

Hi all, My case is really simple: - Italian citizen - Moved to the UK in October 2010 - Obtained a permanent residence (PR) card in January 2016. - Always been a student. I had a comprehensive sickness insurance for the whole time I exercised treaty rights. Now it has expired, but from what I could ...

Sure, but shouldn't it be already proven since I was given a PR card?
