Re: Speeding offence and citizenship

I would suggest you withdraw your application as you have not submitted your biometrics yet. You will get a refund. Apply 3 years after date of conviction. Just to make it clear again. Your matter was taken to court and then you were fined by the court right? Had the matter dealt with FPN only, you...

Re: Overstay

Hi there, I want to apply for British Citizenship, and I am bit confused regarding the good character, in particular immigration offences. Back in 2013 my application for tier 4 was refused and appealed against it up to upper tribunal. My leave was extended by 3C up to the hearing on 14th of August...

Re: Help - Requirement not met, not present on actual date

Hi Mods and Gurus, I have applied my application on 27th March 2020. Today, I got an email from a caseworker stating that a person is required to be in UK on the actual date 5 years before making the application. So the qualifying period for me is 28 March 2015 to 27 March 2020 and I am expected to...

Good evening, A friend of mine who has been waiting for appointment told me today that he was contacted by HO that he is qualified for biometrics waiver as result of the Covid-19. And that he will receive a link later where he will capture his photo and submit. Has only one else received a similar ...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

This is what I got from my southwark Council Thank you for your email. For the moment, we sadly do not know when the Government and the General Register Office will allow us to reconvene citizenship ceremonies. In the mean time, we have to follow the guidelines and avoid non-essential face to face ...

Re: MN1 application: No professional referee agreed

Hello, I am applying for my child MN1 application as born in the UK from EU parents and one of them, myself, has ILR (settled status approved). IT asks for two referees and my undertanding is that one of them needed to have professional involvement with the child. I have called the health visitor a...

Hi. My wife's visa expiring in August first week , I heard visa automatically extending, How to let them know that it's expiring, do we get any letter regarding that? Re: Heartless government to increase IHS from £400 to £625 as part of hostile policy

I was about to make a post on this topic, but on searching the forum I realised someone already did 2 months ago. So no need to start a new one, I can just add my opinion here. I must say that it was interesting reading this thread with the arguments for and against the increase. • Everyone should p...

UKVCAS Service points to reopen

UKVCAS service centres will not start opening for appointment from 1st June. I guess not appointments will be available in the first couple of weeks of reopening as they will still be maintaining social distance as they reopen.

Re: Previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Thanks for the response CR001. I came to UK on Tier 2 General visa (3 years). Applied for an extension and then for ILR (in UK). Does all the three applications qualify for immigration applications? As per the immigration details, does application ID/Visa/BRP ID and submitted date suffice? Also, is...

Re: Moving Abroad Around Time of Citizenship Eligibility

And I want to add that you will have to pay tax to the HMRC on that your "hefty pay". This is because you will need to remain a UK resident while working abroad, if you intend to apply for citizenship 6 months later. So if you decide to take the job, you might need to notify HMRC. Avoiding to pay yo...

Hi All, Can someone please provide some guidance? Did your sponsor inform the UKVI after each TUPE. As someone under immigration control TUPE is not enough. Your sponsor will need to contact UKVI and inform them about change of sponsor. And update the SMS. If all the necessary steps have been taken...
