Re: Can I apply first child passport with parent British passport

Hi, My situation is that I got my ILR, then I got my UK Citizenship. My child was born after I got ILR and before my UK citizenship. Now, I'm applying the first passport for my child. One of the support documents is my naturalisation certification. And I just realised that I lost it when I applied ...

Re: Can I apply first child passport with parent British passport

You should obtain an official copy of your naturalisation certificate for future, that is what proves you’re British, there is a fee (£400) see - https://www.gov.uk/get-replacement-citizenship-certificate It does not make sense that I have to pay to get it again because Passport office didn't re ...

Keep in mind that the advisors that answer the phone may not have all the information or even work on passport applications at all - ask to speak to a manager and still treat the information you receive with a grain of salt, applicants often receive confusing or inaccurate information unfortunately ...

Re: Child first passport rejected. Parent got ILR (before child was born) and becomed Bristish citizenship

I suggest you contact the Passport Helpline - https://www.gov.uk/passport-advice-line Ask to speak to a senior manager because the people answering the calls are not necessarily familiar with ILR and may fob you off. Raise a complaint on their website - even if they say they'll look into it. You ...

Re: Child first passport rejected. Parent got ILR (before child was born) and becomed Bristish citizenship

In the last post of the thread there was a suggestion to send HMPO the letter that approved the ILR. Do you still have the letter (or email) that gave you the ILR approval? Yes, I still have an email with my name in there and ref application saying that my ILR application was successful. The ...

Re: Child first passport rejected. Parent got ILR (before child was born) and becomed Bristish citizenship

No I didn't send any proof of my ILR BRP as I don't have it any more. when I became uk citizen, I cut BRP half and sent it back. I thought their system should have it by checking my current UK passport. It is YOUR responsibility to submit the evidence to prove the child is British. It is not HMPO ...

Thank you for the information. as I said above, I don't have BRP any more. Is there alternative way to proof that, rather than sending original ILR BRP?

Yes I have a copy (photo in my phone). doyou think that is ok?

Child first passport rejected. Parent got ILR (before child was born) and becomed Bristish citizenship

Hi, I recently applied passport for my child and it was rejected. I wonder why it was rejected. My situation is that: 1. I got ILR early 2021 2. My child was born December 2021 3. I got my UK Citizenship in 2022 4. January 2024 I applied first passport for my child but it rejected. In the ...

Re: Dependent partner to ILR for my partner

1. Your naturalisation application has nothing to do with her ILR application. You just had to be granted ILR under the same visa route as hers, at some point in the past. 2. Maybe because she was granted Tier 2 dependant, now called the Skilled worker dependant visa. She is the applicant and she ...

I applied, submitted and paid online on 26/06 and still waiting. Does anyone have the same situation? Re: settled person with 10-year route and spouse visa

Hi, She started her dependent visa on August 2018 (and expire on August 2021). She stayed in the UK the same day of her dependent visa starting date. My tier 2 visa started from September 2016. Re: settled person with 10-year route and spouse visa

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Her dependent visa initially granted 2018.

So if I wait for 1 more year, to apply ILR by 5 year route, can my wife keep her tier 2 dependent, extend her tier2 dependent next year and apply ILR in 2022?

Kind regards

She studied for 2 years then switch to spouse visa for 3 years. If I apply ILR by 10-year route, what will happen to her visa? Can she apply ILR ...

Thanks for your response. The problem is that, in the mail, they said that I need to go to web site (gov.uk....) and make the appropriate payment and do not need to send back to them any thing. I have done the payment. I have a new IHS reference number. Is that all? How do they know the new IHS ...
