Re: First passport application

I finally got an answer to my question, so I'm sharing it in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation. Re: Stamp 3 & Permission to work

He is not allowed to work on Stamp 3. He will need to get a job offer first and either (1) apply for an employment permit in his own right (just like his wife would have). or (2) if his wife is on a critical skills work permit or a hosting agreement, apply for a spouse employment permit. Full detail...

Re: Naturalisation

Re: First passport application

If you do not hear from them in time you can book an appointment with passport office.. Will be more efficient.. At the appointment they would be expected to have the application signed and witnessed already. So, they will be sent back (might get an answer to their question though). i think as this...

Re: Irish passport application for first Timer

I wouldn’t expect to see any changes in the progress bar this week since we just lodged the application, mine says “Application received” and nothing else. They are probably doing checks now so I would wait one or two weeks to see any progress. I think the "Application received" status me...

Re: GNIB Card Lost...Whats the next process ?

The INIS website (see the last section on http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/about-registration-system) only says that you need to make an appointment and attend it to get a replacement. However, Citizens Info (see http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/moving_country/moving_to_ireland/rights_of_res...

Re: INIS registration - duration

Hi Anyone know if the registration duration for GNIB / INIS registration has changed. I understand it's ordinarily one year but for spouses of Irish citizens it's renewed for two years? I too was under the impression that it is at least for 2 years for spouses of Irish citizens. However, my wife go...

Re: ceremony date 21 april 2017

It might be too soon for them to send out invitation letters, considering the ceremony is still 2 months away. According to http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP16000022#decision, invitations are sent out 4 to 5 weeks before the date of the ceremony. So they'll probably start sending them out in M...
