Re: Sheffield Visa Section - EEA FAMILY PERMIT

Hi guys, I would like to apply for EEA permit for parents-in-law. Is it enough to prove only health dependency that they are sick and there is noone to take care of them or has to be financial dependency as well? It’s hard to believe dependency due to illness. You need to show that you pay their re...

If he gets it now, his qualifying time exercising treaty rights will only start now. The insurance cannot be backdated to 2015 unfortunately. Once the new application online for pre-settled and settled statuses opens, there won’t be any need for insurance. Only uk residence Ok, but what does that e...

Re: Sheffield Visa Section - EEA FAMILY PERMIT

A piece of ‘very’ good news for dependent parents applying for either pre-settled or settled status in the UK! Their dependence on the EEA national or their spouse will be assumed - meaning: they won’t be required to provide any documents to evidence their dependency. Only residence in the UK, proof...

Re: EEA4 refused - lack of proof of exercising treaty rights

Why have you dug up an inactive thread which is 4 years old and the member who opened the topic hasn't visited the forum since Sept 23, 2014 :?: Casa The answer is: because they are misleading. Obie said they could in 2011 and in 2014 the opposite. Those threads are there for people to make referen...

Re: EEA4 refused - lack of proof of exercising treaty rights

He has to prove it, because that is what the law says. He either has a document confirming PR, or provide proof that he has exercised treaty right for a period of 5 years. Parents who claim to be dependent in the ascending line will need to show they have been dependent for 5 years to qualify, othe...

Hi Obie,
The biggest question is when you get benefits initially as a dependent family member how does this status get lost. Does acquiring means tested benefits make one independent.
Hi Sgohel

Did you succeed with your appeal?
