Re: Pre-Settled Application via EU spouse whilst in UK 6 months c-visa visitor

Anyone?

Can C-type 6 month visitors visa be changed whilst in the UK or is leaving the UK and returning with a EU 2016 Regulations stamp required?

Pre-Settled Application via EU spouse whilst in UK 6 months c-visa visitor

Hi, I have searched but couldn't find my query in the answers before. Is it allowed to apply straight for Pre-Settled Status whilst in the UK on a 6 month C-type visitor visa? EU spouse has been here since April, child is also EU citizen and in the UK. Mother had permit in EU country of origin and a...

Query about CSI

Hijacking this thread a bit as I didn't want to start another thread on CSI (feel free to move it if you don't think it belongs here). So I have submitted my PR application, currently on day 99 of waiting for an answer (EU14, five years full time employed same employer, in UK since 1998) unless I ha...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

harridan6, I am so sorry for being the harbinger of bad news, however I know so many that have been caught out by the stupid CSI rule that I feel we have to tell as many as possible as soon as possible so we can check the alternatives and fix what can be fixed. It is unlikely that the UK will be abl...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Grodan, no, I don't think so... I never applied for anything like that and, to be fair, I don't even know what that is. I've never heard of it before. I have the National Insurance Number and as a student I lived at home with my mum working full-time. I registered with my GP as soon as I got my NI ...

Harridan6 Did you have Comprehensive Sickness Insurance CSI during your years as a student? Requesting your passport back doesn't seem to alter the timeline just be careful when you do it because you don't want to accidentally press the withdrawal button. ___________________________________ EU14 Day...

Re: 1 day gap on treaty rights, could that be a problem?

Chill, technically you are employed already as your new job is already lined therefore the job centre wouldn't even accept your claim. You would have a 4 day gap if you quite your job had nothing lined up and then on the 4th day found a job. But no four days isn't enough to ruin anything neither her...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Many people wasting time over trivia. Asking about pre paid envelopes, etc. You should read the instructions. One member said clock stops when you are unemployed. NO SUCH THING. If you are on JSA you are still considered economically active . Now max time for a EU citizen is 3 months on jsa so thin...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

With regards to your earlier question on why people call themselves EEA not EU, the card when it comes through clearly states 'for a national of an EEA state' so the Home Office do not differentiate between EU and EEA when they issue the cards. That might well be the case but unless we are tidier a...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

@whistles this topic is already a jumbled mess of mixed up questions. If you now have a question on naturalisation and the privilege of citizenship then you need to post it in the BC forum (not here). Is there anyway we can allow even newly registered users like me to put timelines in their signatu...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Yes I know we EU applicants are also part of EEA, and that Switzerland and Croatia isn't but for purposes of applications we can all use the form. The technicalities wasn't my query. My query was if people here are not making a distinction between EU and EEA, which seems to be the case here. What I ...
