Re: Nearly 5 months since British citienship application

Hi, I applied for British citizenship as an EU citizen on the 14th of December 2020. Its nearly been 5 months since my application and I have heard nothing back about an approval from the home office. When do you usually get an email from the home office stating that your application will not be co...

Re: NI contribution as proof of residency

Do you have a P60s or Council Tax bill for the missing year? Or other official documents/correspondence, such as HMRC, DWP (Child Benefit or Pensions)? Have you worked with the one employer throughout? You could ask them to write a letter confirming you have been employed by them from/to. I have a ...

Re: NI contribution as proof of residency

As you are on UK ILR your passport(s) covering the residency period is all that's required. Hello, sorry I forgot to mention, I was a minor when I came to the UK and the passport has been lost, apart from my most recent passport that was issued in July this year, I have NO passport to prove residen...

NI contribution as proof of residency

Hello, I am in the process of applying for my British citizenship, and I am just looking at proving my 5 year residency. 5 years ago I was working, so I understand I can use that as proof of residency. I requested employment history letter but my employment has not come up on the employment history ...

Re: Overstayed as a minor

If the overstay was out of your control when you were a minor, then they should not penalise you for it. is it guaranteed that they will overlook the immigration breach as a minor? Likely, but not guaranteed. Thank you all very much for your advise, i have seen threads of people in the same situati...

Re: Overstayed as a minor

Hello They may show discretion indeed. However, as we are talking about something that happened 9/10 years ago, why not waiting just for a short while until you get 10 years clean immigration history and applying? Considering the financial risk, the delays and the aggravation, if you are just a few...

Re: does BIOMETRIC card get TAKEN by UKVCAS

Thank you so much, so happy to hear that. Re: does BIOMETRIC card get TAKEN by UKVCAS

in the old application method, You have to send your BRP to the HO and once your application is successful they send you your new BRP. In the new UKVCAS way, you retain all your originals, that means your BRP too, which i think you must either destroy it or contact the UKVI to see what to do with i...

Re: FLR(DL) for ILR

No one can tell you how long it will take other than UKVI themselves. Based on your application date (21 Feb 2018), I'd say contact them after 21 Aug as it will have been 6 months. You can check other posts including mine to see timelines, what I did etc Mine was also 2x 3 year DLR. if you call the...

Yes you can apply anytime now. My card is expiring at the end of August 2018. My 6 years dlr was in Feb 2018. I applied on 18th July and got ILR. Good luck
sorry to hijack this post, but can you quickly tell me how long it took for them to give you a decision on your application? was it 5 months?
