Re: 10 Year LR - question about curtailment

What did the notice say? It wasn’t immediate curtailment of leave. My leave was due to expire on 24th August 2015 and they curtailed it to 2nd Augusta 2015. The letter was served on 29th May 2015 and said: Your leave has been curtailed under paragraph 323A(b)(i) of the Immigration Rules. Although y...

Re: 10 Year LR - question about curtailment

Thank you, Vinny! That is exactly what I thought as well.

Moreover, it seems HO themselves advise that:a curtailment would not be a detriment to the LR if the migrant has left the UK in time and returned within the permitted absence period

Doctorate Extension Scheme - 8 Year Cap

Hi, I was wondering if someone can clarify whether DES is included in the 8 year cap as I have found conflicting information online. My timeline is: 2013-2014 1st Masters 2014-20115 2nd Masters 2015-2020 PhD In particular, if I finish my PhD and then apply for DES but my DES application takes me ove...

Has anyone applied for a schengen visa for Italy (through VFS in London)?

Thanks

Re: Home Office Arrest Warrant

I usually spoke to him over the phone but to be honest, how many times would you ask someone to show a copy of their visa to you if they said they had it, especially if its one of your friends? I think you're right, I was helpful and gave them (the officers) all the information they asked for and ev...

Re: Home Office Arrest Warrant

No, I am here legally with a tier 4 visa which expires in 2021. I just got really worried as I have never been in this situation and don't want to get in trouble for harbouring or assisting an illegal immigrant because some imbecile decided to overstay his visa.
