Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

If you came up on the HO radar now an admin removal procedure could be initiated. At this point, I even wish it comes out. I'll invite local BBC cameras around so they shoot it live when they come knocking on my door. Perhaps it will work to my detriment but it will works at someone else's advantag...

Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

I can't advise on finances. I appreciate money is tight (I put myself through uni with a family and mortgage to keep, worked all vacations & etc). Yes, if you CAN work. Because I've not found a shred of a part-time job since 2012. Bit difficult to work when nobody hires you, not even as a cleaner. ...

Re: Latest on EU citizens

As you used Italy - they don't have benefits for young single mothers and the parents of those young pregnant girls, are expected to keep them and their grandchild. Rightly so, if I may say. I don't see why as an Italian taxpayer I should pay for other people's children. And abortion is legal in It...

Re: Moving to the UK after Brexit!

I am sure there are so many Brits who would like to obtain the Italian citizenship and enjoy the sun, sea and tasty food in Italy. May be to live permanently over there. Not really... I've tried to convince my husband to get the Italian citizenship for a while now and he doesn't like that idea one ...

Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

:!: That means you are not exercising treaty rights properly at the moment (if you are still a student). This is a concern. That was my main concern. Basically from the evidence I've a 12-month hole which will jeopardise the rest for years to come. Suggest get CSI in place to help regularis...

She had already been studying at this uni for two years, just starting a new degree. She has already received an Unconditional Offer. What exactly do you mean by confirmatory documentation? Is it proof of financial support? Is she paying for the post-graduate degree herself? Because my uni, followi...

Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

RC is residence certificate. Think of UK route as an investment; and count your lucky stars you're EEA. Imagine how long-suffering Brits feel who don't have option of EU route for their families. Never heard of it... I don't think I have it, I will try to see what I have. You're right. However I'm ...

Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

I've not heard of that complication, and even if those countries have it, the UK doesn't. A UK spouse visa permits the holder to work. Indeed, when it comes to meeting the financial requirement for the second stage, it can be met entirely from the spouse's earned income. You're right about them bei...

Re: Latest on EU citizens

Some of these "reciprocal" deals within the EU, aren't reciprocal. Brits in other EU countries have to wait to claim that countries benefits, while their citizens in the UK claim UK benefits after 3 months. The NHS is also free for them to use, but it doesn't work like that in other EU countries. O...

Re: Moving to the uk after breixt!

Hello all, I am thinking of moving to the uk in Sept after the breixt vote. Is there any advice anyone can give me about what to do. I am an Europe citizen (Italian). I visited the home office website and contacted the British consulate in Rome and I was told there's no problem in moving to the Uk ...

Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

EHIC will suffice in lieu of CSI. Any comprehensive health type of policy that covers you will also do. It doesn't matter if policyholder is British hubby. Read the policy - how comprehensive is it? Sorry but I had problems with my computer, I had to format everything! I read the health insurance p...

Re: Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

Thanks for moving it here!! I'm always wary of creating new threads in forums, often I got told off. So when I arrived in 2010, this wasn't enforced. I also visited a CAB that same year, for permanent residency reasons. I am originally from Italy and we have our own register to move residency elsewh...

Application for EAA spouse of UK citizen - no CSI

Ok... sorry if I'm writing here.. first time posting... If you need me to create a new thread, please advise. It seems I have a similar to the OP's wife, probably even bigger.... Been here 7 years, married with a British citizen since 2012. I've been a student since 2012 and NEVER had a CSI. I am gr...
