What’s effect does a driving offence (speeding) has on Naturalisation application

Hi,

I’m hoping to submit a naturalisation application in August 2024, sadly I was driving at 36 mph on a 30 mph road. I admitted liability and was given 3 points on my licence.

I wanted to find out how this would affect my naturalisation application next year.

Thank you.

Does my wife’s sister have the Right to Enter UK?

Hi all, This might be a long shot but should give it a try. I would really appreciate comments from any of the moderators. My father-in-law and his wife (my wife’s parents) lived in the UK in 1970s. My father-in-law come to study and was later joined by his wife. Sadly my father-in-law passed away i...

I applied for fee waiver in January 2022 and having had no response two months later I sent an email and got a reply the following day. Give it a try, email the team but make sure you include your fee waiver application reference number:

Best of luck.

Re: Opinion on ILR application still awaiting consideration

Thanks secret.com also for the comment. I agree that they are probably making enquiries from other government departments and that could explain for the delay. I forgot to mention that in 2011 (that was before I was eventually granted) we tried the Zambrano route as the family member of a British na...

Re: Opinion on ILR application still awaiting consideration

Hi Zimba and Vinny, thank you so much for your comments. Zimba, to answer your questions; the separation was amicable and there was no involvement with the authorities at all. No police or court involvement. The Home Office was only informed when I asked my ex for a divorce. From my SAR the Home Off...

Opinion on ILR application still awaiting consideration

Hi esteemed members of this forum, On 05/04/23 I applied for ILR under 10 years long residence and on 02/05/23 I enrolled my biometric following submission of that application. Having looked at this forum it appears that most people are having their ILR applications considered fairly quickly, at lea...

How many days absences are allowed before applying for ILR?

Hi all, I’m making this post on behalf of my cousin and would welcome any advice in this regard. My cousin’s wife is a doctor, she’s based in Africa and has recently been offered a job by an NHS Trust. She has been issued a Certificate of Sponsorship and about to apply for a work visa. The husband h...

Re: ILR Set(LR) 10 year route

It doesn’t look complicated as you have had continuous residence for the past 10 years regardless of the appeal that took one year to resolve. You made in time application before your leave to remain expired.

Re: SOS! Super Priority service disappeared from Home Office website. 5 days left on my visa!

I had completed a SET (LR) application and kept checking for Super Priority option without success. I checked at different times including just after midnight when I was told that they normally release the slots. I finally decided to submit the application using the standard service option. Looking ...

First discuss it with your solicitor and make them aware of their mistake. If I were you I’ll also ask for a refund of the fee you paid.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman, see link below:

Super Priority Service open for ILR (LR) applications?

Hi all, I plan to submit ILR (LR) on 10/04/23 using Super Priority Service, so far I have completed the online application. Each time I have tried to see if Super Priority option is available all I am seeing is the Standard service. I am aware that the Super Priority option is not always available. ...

The 5 day option is not available for ILR based on long residence, however the next working day option to receive a decision is available which costs 800 pounds extra.

Is it too early to start completing ILR application?

I’m eligible to apply for ILR on 7th May 2023 but planning to submit application on 10th April 2023 (roughly 28 days early). I wanted to ask if it’s possible for me to start to fill the online application now or will the application be deleted if it’s completed and not submitted.

I think there’s has to be more to this story, clearly for him to have been refused on suitability grounds means that there’s some sort of criminality involved.
Are you saying every refusal in suitability grounds is a pointer to applicant having criminal record?
Yes.
