Re: Applying for Citizenship as Irish spouse

My wife is waiting 15 months now for permission to remain. We got a TD to ask what's the delay as they wouldn't respond to us.

They just said she is in process and will be dealt with in due course.

Re: Tourist Visa to Ireland for non-EU Girlfriend?

There is no interview. She has secure employment so that's good. I wouldn't recommend an agency. I did myself 2 years ago. She will apply through her side. For us it was refused first time after 8 weeks but I appealed here and spoke to immigration on the phone better explained our relationship. Then...

I agree. If we were from another EU state our partners would have a Temp stamp 4 while we are waiting.

Talk about being second class citizens in our own country.

Re: Spouse of an Irish Citizen Delay

An update on this. We wrote a letter and posted it to the address on our letter via registered post in June. In late July (12 months after initial application) we received a letter requestin all the documents we had already sent again to be sent within 30 days. With no explanation on the delay. We s...

Re: Spouse of an Irish Citizen Delay

Yes. We got the Initial letter of acknowledgment as you describe. We haven't received anything further. After 10 months. The email simply asks what is the status and asks for an update. We also gave ID number so it can easily be found. That was over a week ago. Still no response. Im getting fairly p...

Got letter after a couple of weeks asking for usual P60s Insurance etc. All sent away before the expiry of C Visa. Heard no...

Re: Delay Delay Delay!!! EUFam Decision pending.

Can you not aske for another temp stamp 4. While you are waiting.

I applied under spouse of irish citizen 9 months ago. Still haven't got a temp stamp. Ive never seen any service to be so slow and cumbersome.

Moving to NI. Residency for Irish citizenship.

I am considering taking up employment in Northern Ireland. My wife moved from the Philippines nearly a year ago to join me. If we decide to live in NI Enniskellen. Can she still apply for Irish citizenship after the 3 year period. How would it work or not.

Thanks.

Re: Foreign Girlfriend

Go there and visit her. As for marrying in the Irish embassy. There isn't one. It has a consulate but unlikely that theyll marry you there. But definitely go. You'll have a great time. Yes I'll definitely will go once I've saved enough and and I've already started documenting some of the stuff she ...

Thanks for the update. We are in a different situation. My wife came here on visit C Visa. It took 2 month to get as she had beed here before.

We got married during this visit (June 2016) and now we are waiting for permission to stay. They said it would take 9-12 months. But at least she is with me.
