Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Another update for you all... We got a new date in for the appeal hearing, and it's in April. So it's off to the solicitor on Friday to look at our options, as April just isn't workable for us at all for a variety of reasons. I can already hear you all screaming at your screens "you've waited this l...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hey everyone! Just an update for you all... We got a reply to our FLR (FP) application from August 31st 2016. We received a decision around October time this year and it was a refusal. Luckily, as there was a recent court ruling on in-country appeals, we have the right to appeal within the UK and h...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

How come appeals have become quicker. Thought it was taking a year to get appeal hearing. Our solicitor said it might take 6 months - 1 year to get a hearing and then within a few weeks we got the letter in with a date. I think it just comes down to how busy the courts are, where you live etc. We'r...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

any refusal reason? Yes, the HO stated that although life would be difficult, it would be possible for me to move with my husband to live in Thailand (the country he is from). I should note at this point if you don't already know my case info, that we are in a same-sex marriage, something Thailand ...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Also posted my FLRFP application in August 2016 and still no update from the HO, over 10 months, also called them but was told I will be contacted within 5 working day but haven't yet heard from them. Re: FLR(FP) Application time

I gave UKIV a call today and after 40 mins wait I was told that I'd get a call back. 10 minutes later I received a call and was told to write a letter to UKIV Sheffield asking for an update on your case. So I'd like to know if should write a letter direct to the point stating facts or plead a littl...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

I think you need to be asking your solicitor why they aren't doing more than just sending a reminder to HO. Two years, even for the Home Office, is totally unacceptable. It's an FLR(FP) visa app yes?[/quote] I had to remind my lawyer 2 times to send the reminder! He doesn't even care -_- Yes it's FL...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Thanks for the great advice. No, It's a 7 year child concession case, we applied in 2015 when my child spent 7 years here after a failed asylum case earlier which took our right to work here. This makes it even harder for us to wait. Oh...sorry to hear that. Are you currently overstaying then? Alth...
