Re: Losing job

There is no requirement to have a job or business during the application for ILR.

Just make sure to retain proof of the most recent earnings from the job before leaving (P60, P45, payslips, bank statements).

Re: Working from overseas during Covid19 on a Global Talent visa

In my opinion.. 1) Yes, you can start working remotely from other country. You do not even have to wait for Stage 1 decision and you do not need a visa for that. You'll probably work as a self-employed person in your current country of residence, but you'll just get paid from the UK. You'll have to ...

Re: Copy or original of rec letter

Since all documents are submitted digitally, "original" letter will be indistinguishable from a scanned copy.

Scanned letters with live signatures are OK!

Re: Global Promise on BRP?

I confirm that "Talent / Promise" category is not mentioned on the BRP. This is OK!

Everything is pretty much the same between these two categories, except the settlement time period.

Re: The "what is your field of talent" question.

I've used "Data Engineering" during stage 1 application and "Digital Technology" during stage 2.

Application was approved. So.. don't worry about.

Re: What happens if the allocated quota is full when you apply?

1) It never happened in the past.
2) In theory, you should not be able to submit stage 1 application if quota has been reached.

Don't worry about it. Apply when you're ready.

Re: What to do after applying to Tech Nation?

Now you have to wait for:

1) Email from Home Office mentioning UTR number.
2) Email from Home Office with outcome of stage 1 application.

There is no need to send paper documents anywhere. I did this, but multiple forum users and Tech Nation itself confirmed that it's not necessary.

Re: Has anyone been successful to get endorsed after a review?

Yes, I know at least one person who got endorsement after review. It is possible.

But you have to look into reasons of initial rejection. Can you give explanations without adding more supporting documents? If so, feel free to apply for review. There is nothing to lose except your time.

Re: More than 2 qualifying criteria?

You'll have to select two qualifying criteria during application process.

There is no point aiming for 3 or 4 criterias. Just choose two and make them as strong as possible.

There is an article in TN visa blog answering those questions in a great detail.

Switching from Tier 2 (General) to Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) will NOT reset ILR day counter. You'll get ILR in one year. :)

Re: Tier 1 Stage 2 Travel Questions

Well, since you've used super premium service, your application should be rejected in the next 24h. You'll be able to re-apply outside of the UK using the same endorsement letter.

Application fee will be lost, but NHS surcharge can be refunded.

Re: Tier 1 Stage 2 Travel Questions

You retain all your passports and original documents. Everything is scanned and verified during biometric appointment. You should not travel while your stage 2 application is under consideration. You may start travelling as soon as you get your new BRP. Since you opted for super priority service (wi...

You should really stop worrying about things you cannot change. :)

If OVRO officer says it's okay, it's probably okay. I think what really matters for HO is that your current certificate is up to date.

Re: Exceptional talent to ILR - potential issues

It looks like there is no information except the official guide. My immigration advisor made an inquiry about similar case regarding to duration of "most recent period" and amount of "earned money". There are no extra hidden requirements. I think it makes sense. Why would HO put more barriers for T1...

If HO approves your application, take your police certificate to OVRO or local station, tell your story and update information. If HO de...

I think it's very generous. It means that you can switch to another IT role and still get the ILR, if you want to.
