Re: Did I miss the ILR application date?

I received the letter for biomets enrollment last Friday and promptly went on Monday to get it done. Unfortunately the only kiosk available in York was down --- I was quite disgusted with the customer service I received; There was no apology, no helpful information dispensed, they (the post office ...

Re: Did I miss the ILR application date?

Posted it and very glad to get rid of it. Sent on the 8th and payment debited on the 13th.

Hopefully I'll get this out and done with as soon as possible, hoping to move by June :/

I'll update the timeline thread once the process is complete. :) :)

Re: Did I miss the ILR application date?

Are you serious? Cos if you are, I am :D x As an Ancestry visa holder, should i tick 12B (Employment not requiring a work permit)? I am providing the letters from my employers and their statements/payslips, but I'm not sure if I should tick it only cos I'm not sure if the ancestry visa doesn't ...

Posting my ILR application in two days :S I have all my documents ready. I suppose my last and only worry, still, is the proof of lineage because my story is complicating. All I have to send are, again, my granddad's and dad's birth/death certificates, and some emails between me and my granddad ...

Re: Did I miss the ILR application date?

Well done. Only send what is asked for. Fine to carry a few extra bits in case asked for, but they will want to see the specifid documents per the form/guidance/rules. Yes Ancestry visa is a work visa but there is no requirement that you must have worked for the entire duration of your visa from ...

Not necessary. They will do their own checks.
Thanks, I shall not include it then, I have lots of proof of active community participation but I also don't want to make them look through extra paperwork.

I passed my LiUK test today :D Yay!

"Good Character"

Btw, I'm not sure if I should include any documentation to support a standing of good character? Would it be necessary / help? If it does, I am intending to send in my CRB check docus as I work in the hospital / mental health. I am also including proof that I was volunteering before I found a job ...

Re: Did I miss the ILR application date?

Hi everyone, Just want to extend my gratitude for all the help I've received thus far, all of you are a massive help and support in an otherwise potentially mentally-damaging part of my life. :P I'll try to update the timeline and/or success story if any. Now, I suppose, the only thing I'm stuck ...

Hi,
Can you please confirm if UK Ancestry is under the Permitted Employment Category?
Many thanks.
Hiya icarus - I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I've got for a couple of holidays overseas and locally which hasn't gone past the 180days/yr mark.

Re: Advice on my next step - Ancestry visa

So basically I'm on ancestry visa which expires on the 10/3/18. I am intending to apply for ILR, where my fifth year anniversary for being a UK resident is on 2/4/18. The earliest application booking appointment available (premium, on the day) is 17/3/18. That's after my visa expires, so I'm worried ...

It's me again! It's February now so I'm writing to clarify something worrying me. Re: Advice on my next step - Ancestry visa

Hi CR001, thank you for your reply and the information. You need your fathers birth certificate post adoption and the adoption papers. How did you get an ancestry visa if you don't have these? You don't need the death cert. I have my father's birth certificate, but there are no adoption papers; My ...
