Thanks to some mod, my thread has been dumped into a forum that barely has many visitors. Unless there is a general purpose forum, I think UK forum is just as relevant as this forum.

Choices to move

All, I have a quick question and would like to see what everyone thinks. If you were to move out of the UK (in search of a better life for you and family/kids), what three countries would you consider? Please put them in the order of your preference. (Considering visa/immigration is not an issue) Th...

Well, against my better judgement, I called the passport line today. Lady was extremely nice. Told me that they have the information they requested and that it will be reviewed in a few days. I can call in a few days to see if it has been reviewed and whether or not there were any updates. This is m...

Thanks Jambo. I hope so. I will see if I can get my interview in Chelsford. I read soemwhere that they are probably less busy than London.

UK Passport App - Silly Mistake

So I applied for a first time passport on the 10th. Only to get a letter yesterday letting me know that I did not include my citizenship certificate :-( What a silly mistake I made. Well, I mailed it to them yesterday and it got there this morning. I am hoping to get my docs back (and perhaps new pa...

Does anyone have a list of Passport Office locations where interviews take place for new passports? I am interested in location in and around London.

Thanks.

Thanks all. I am very good with forms etc. (did my own Citizenship form and more). I have also done several Passport forms in the past (for wife and kids) so I am not too worried about that either. I can send special delivery myself, can't I? Also, if I send it myself, does it not go directly to pas...

Check and Send

Hi,

For a new first time passport, Is there any real benefit to using check and send service since you have to send original docs anyway.

Thanks.

Pre-Case-Worker. Checks are done before it is assigned to a case worker for a final decision.

@johnty, if u think your case is straight forward, i would suggest you do an official request for information first. dont sound it like a complaint. just mention as a matter of fact that you know people who applied much later than you and have got approval and you still have not received any answer...

Ok, I have read a lot of posts etc and done more research. I guess my next date when I am able to apply is after April 14th.

I still have one question though: which date do I put for my initial entry; Nov 2006 or April 2008? My first entry into the UK with this settlement visa was in 2006.

Thanks.

Citizenship Application Date

Hi, I am a US Citizen. I was granted a Settlement Visa (Spousal) back in Nov 2006. I made my first entry on this visa on 23 Dec 2006. Even though I made several trips to the UK and kept my status, I didn't really complete my move until August 2008. Same year, I made a trip to the UK in April (2008)....
