Re: Dual nationality

I mean will my passport get blocked by Slovakian passport office the minute I receive British nationality? HO do not inform foreign embassies about your British citizenship. My understanding of Slovakian rules are that you automatically lose the citizenship once you gain another. The effective date...

Re: Dual nationality

Oh ok, so they won't put a block on my card. I can still use it even when I have British passport issued already, right? What do you mean by 'card' and blocked by who??? Oh sorry, I was writing a reply earlier without thinking what I was writing. I mean will my passport get blocked by Slovakian pas...

Re: Dual nationality

As the UK allows you to have as many citizenships as you like, they don't care about your Slovakian passport and you won't get into trouble in Britain. You might get into trouble with Slovakia if they find out but I don't know whether they would. By the way, I think it's foolish to give up EU citiz...

My application was ‘Decided’ exactly 5 months after the day it was RECEIVED by the Home Office and Letter of Approval of Citizenship ceremony received 10 days after the decision.
You waited 10 days for the letter to come? And when is your ceremony? Is it easy to book one?

Does anyone know when you get the decision letter, how long do you have to arrange the ceremony with your local council? Is it 21 days or 3 months? I can't find the info anywhere. you need to book the ceremony in 21 days of the approval letter and attend the ceremony in next 3 months. Oh that makes...

Thanks minister
It does look like people from July have now started getting decisions.
Ukba Uses 2nd Class Mail to post out the letters and it's only a matter of time when it lands on your door..
Really? I am a June applicant and still haven't heard anything. :(

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

I'm still waiting for my decision too. I applied at the end of May, and my application got updated to "awaiting a decision" on their website on 7th of June. Is it normal to wait this long?

Re: Can one default affect my application?

t seems that most people hear back from HO within three months. This is not the case anymore, look at the May thread ( https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/may-2017-naturalisation-timelines-only-t232477.html ), some people who applied in early May are only just getting their respon...
