Got our documents back yesterday. Letter confirms PR 6 October and says biometric card will be sent within 10 days. Application sent 20 Sep 016 Received 21 Sept COA 14 Oct Letter confirming PR received 21 March (Dated 18 March) Non-EEA wife of Dual EU/British citizen using McCarthy transitional. Hap...

I applied under the McCarthy transitional rules and believe you are covered. It seems to be a problem if you became a British citizen after 2012 or your husband acquired his first EU permit after July 2012, but I think in your case you should be fine. EU/British husband only sent an ID card and certified copy of both passports so only asked for non EEA passport back. Yes we did a cover letter and had an immigration lawyer review it and the application which was helpful, mainly on the documentation side of things.

Hello Softy M, We are also McC transitional Non EEA spouse with dual Irish/British national but RC issued Sept 2011. Applications just a few weeks apart.
