Re: Further enquiries raised during a naturalisation application - does the 6 month timeline reset?

Extremely straight-forward? Then what the next step would be, somebody from Home office brings citizenship certificate to you and apologizes for being late  Everyone is waiting! whether the spouse is British or not and their case is complicated or clear. And it is not a Ryanair flight with pr...

Re: Extra evidence required? Passport stamped when arrived but used e-gates once when returning from a holiday

That was a similar situation for my wife, son and daughter as they are all EU citizens. Rather than trying to prove with other documents I used the following link to request their history of entry and exit into and out of the UK for the last 5 years and added it to their naturalisation application. ...

Re: What time does HO Atlas email come through?

If it's been more than 6 months since you submitted biometrics you can follow up with them and your MP. It seems that acceptance emails tend to be sent on a Monday regardless when the decision was made. Yes I noticed that too. A couple of months ago I received the email on Monday, then 2 weeks ago ...

Re: Naturalisation application form question - Previous application

Any means simply; whenever in your your life. For instance, I remember I added my first EEA family permit application in my country, second application (EEA2) after living in the UK for 6 months, 3rd one for pre-settled status and 4th one for settled status. Furthermore, I followed the same path for...

Re: Citizenships after settled status

Hi, I’m applying for my wife’s British citizenship. She has got EU settled status. She has got BRP with presettled status which is expiring at end of February 2024. I’m planning to for citizenship now and later will need to renew BRP in one month time. Will that be ok? Apology for this but just cur...

Settled status in 4 years

Hi, this might be a silly question but how someone can obtain settled status in 4 years  Basically, my wife's cousin and her son (both EU citizen) applied for settled status exactly when they completed 4th year in the UK and received a conformation email saying they got it. There is nothing s...

Re: Referee for British citizenship(MN1)

I would suggest you going to child's school and talk to the management. I applied for my daughter last week and one of her referees was her tutor from school. Initially the teacher was reluctant to share her details with someone who she has never seen/known before but I wrote a letter explaining the...

I had my citizenship ceremony 3 days ago. We were 8 people from 8 different countries. Entry and exit into and out of the UK for EU citizens

I am sure someone already shared this before but I just wanted to remind and again give more details. As you know, EU passports usually won't be stamped when you travel from/to the UK. I had the same problem during naturalisation application for my wife and daughter, so I used the following link to ...

I just did the exact same application yesterday for my wife and daughter. Birth certificate issue is even worse in my country. They give you an A6 size card where you will only see the surname of the baby, no parents and/or baby's first name  for instance if your surname is Jackson then you w...

Re: Settled status help !

My last question. Can I still travel with my old card until when they issue new one ? Yes, as long as the expiration date printed on it has not passed. Hi Kamoe, just a quick question. We are in the same situation as a family. Myself and my 2 children have pre-settled RCs which are valid till 2024....

settled status, dual nationality and home office

Hi all, I am just not sure about this. We got settled status 2 months ago and I have already updated the page "update your status" for all family members. However subsequently (in a month) my two children became EU citizens so they are now dual citizens. Do we need to inform home office or any other...

Re: Using pre-settled RC with Settled status

Oh, thanks buddy, appreciated. Although we are still preparing and have 10 months before the applications, I just want to make sure about the details as I am planning to apply for the family of 4 (which will probably cost me a fortune).
Thanks again.

Using pre-settled RC with Settled status

Hi there, we got settled status a month ago but we are still using the old RCs stating "pre-settled" as they are valid till 2024. My question is do we need to renew RCs to "settled status" before we apply to naturalisation next year or is it irrelevant as we already have settled status emails? Thanks.
