Getting the cert of naturalisation after declaration made

Hi all, I'm sure some of you have touched on this before, but I just need some quick answers if anyone has them out there? Been trying to phone the Tipp office as it is supposed to be open Today/Thurs 10-12:30 but all I get is a quick, busy tone that sounds like call did not go through. The crowd in...

Hey all, Very pleased to say that my approval letter from INIS for Irish naturalization came in April 1st! I now have to contact the District Court for the formal declaration and then get my cert. I can't believe that it has finally come through. Just to go over my story: Applied Aug 2006 on basis o...

Registering at local GNIB Garda Stations

Hey all, Just a quick note for those of us who register with the GNIB at our local Garda Stations instead of the Dublin office. Just phoned mine in Drogheda to check the hours for this week and was told they are only meeting people by appointment only - no more general office hours to see the Immigr...

Yes, I think so.

I phoned INIS this morning just to ask if there was anything else that I needed to do/send in & they said no, that the Garda check was the next step and that I didn't have to do anything else (but wait! :) ) So I would assume that it's out of our hands now & just wait.

yeah, I had gotten one about 2 years earlier from RCMP which took 4-5 months. This one was quicker - maybe because I was already in the system from the previous request it was easier for them to do?

Hi Giri, When your LTR is approved, you will receive a letter from INIS, Dept of Justice stating so. It's looks like any normal letter from a government dept and will probably be sent to you via registered post. You take that original letter and go to your nearest Garda Immigration office to get you...

Thanks everyone for the replies, much appreciated.

I figured as much with the possible waiting times but it's helpful for me to hear actual people's stories - fingers crossed the long-awaited LTR comes in on time August/Sept 2008 & I don't get made redundant!

Cheers

Hi everyone, As we talked about, we've got to send in clear police certs from all the countries we have ever lived in as part of the LTR system (but not until asked). I tried to get INIS to take my 2-year old clear RCMP cert but they wouldn't so I have to get a new one. I've sent in the request to t...
