I had same reply from them, with or without GFW prefix. The call center can not track your application, I believe they can only track short term visa applications. Seems like a call center, I did call them and emailed too. Both times they got back saying they can't find the GWF number and will escalate. Still have not heard anything back from either calls.
There is no way to track your application... thus they would have no way of checking on a specific application number. All you can do is wait. She applied for residence permit almost 6 months ago, still have not heard back anything. They are pretty slow in Malta when it comes to this sort of stuff. I was hoping we would get that and then we won't have to go through UK sponsorship process, but still not luck.
