Bad driving record in the US

Hi

A friend of mine wants to apply for her ILR but she is worried that she she has a driving record in 2016. She was cited with child infraction. She did not appear to court but left the US.

Will this affect her application?

Re: Lost identification by UKVI--Help

Sorry I cannot assist. I am still fighting them as I had to pay £75 for a new BRP card even though my citizenship has been approved. If I did not report ut lost they would have fined me £1000. I just hope my MP can assist. Something is going on at the home office and they need to get a grip. They wi...

Re: Lost identification by UKVI--Help

I seem to be the only one in this forum.
Does anyone know how I could get a refund for the ILR BRP replacement fee since I have now been granted citizenship?
I was not sure I would granted and had to apply for another one before the home office penalised me for not reporting it missing/ stolen.

Re: Lost identification by UKVI--Help

Hello Just an update This is really bittersweet. They have accepted my application and granted me citizenship but are still saying they never received my foreign passports. They only responded when I sent in a complaint. I have just spent £100 trying to get my BRP card drivers licence and they did n...

Re: Lost identification by UKVI--Help

Hello all

The caseworker is still not satisfied with the alternative documents I have sent.
She wants to refuse my application.

How can UKVI do this to me? They have lost my ids and now this.

I will have to spend in excess of £600 that I don't have.

What can I do?

Re: Lost identification by UKVI--Help

The time the caseworker wants could be identified from my BRP card which shows that I was in the country and they have lost it.
Unfortunately, I was on an extended break d from work during that period and did not sign on the jsa so I have no other documentary proof.

What do I do?

Re: Lost identification by UKVI--Help

I have tried to contact the home office but no one is answering my emails. This incident started in January, if my documents are missing I have to report the matter to the police and tell them it has been tampered with by someone at the home office. If you recall from another blog post I was worried...

Lost identification by UKVI--Help

Hi In my haste to beat Brexit, I sent a paper application for naturalisation to the HO in 2018. I also sent my passports, BRP and drivers licence. I was worried as I did not receive an immediate acknowledgement. They scared me as they told me that they were looking for my package. They did not ackno...

Re: Naturalisation payment

You are lucky to use NCS. At least you did not have to send your identification over.
Well, I was using the second email. That notification never came up.
I will be patient until Friday

Pls, can others here tell us if they have taken payment?

Re: Naturalisation payment

Hi

I called yesterday and the lady said that if payment had not been taken by next Monday that I should call back. Right now I am less interested in acknowledgement but more concerned about the security of my documents. Is my application missing or not?

My application was received on the 31st of December 2018. All I did was ask for acknowledgement.

In all my years of dealing with the home office, they always send one.

Re: Naturalisation payment

Dear all

I think they have lost my application. I received an email from UKVI and they told me it is not on the system.
I gave them the tracking number. My whole life is in that application, 3 passports, life in the UK, masters certificate, biometric card etc, drivers licence.
Pathetic.

Re: Naturalisation payment

Another thread someone who submitted in November only got their fee taken out on January 14th. Imagine that. We should not be surprised if our fee is taken in March at this stage.

Pls, could you inform me if your payment has been taken from your accounts? I'm just asking because everyone here submitted after me by paper application It's going to three weeks. I need to keep abreast of this. This is the home office and I just hope that my documents have not gone missing. :( :(
