Re: 2 Residence Cards (EU & FLR) received - what to do?

Thanks for the advice, Seagul.
I am surprised that it may be valid to hold 2 residence permits, it seems strange to me but if it is ok to hold 2 then we will keep them both.

Re: 2 Residence Cards (EU & FLR) received - what to do?

Hi again Seagul, I think you misunderstand. We did apply for EU Residence Card in July, but after 4 months we decided to apply for FLR for personal reasons and then we cancelled the EU residence card application because we got FLR approved. However, even after we cancelled the EU card application af...

Re: 2 Residence Cards (EU & FLR) received - what to do?

Hello Seagul, thanks for the reply.
I am British and my wife is non-EU.
We arrived back in the UK in April from living in Germany using EEA FP (SS route).

We are allowed to apply for FLR so we did but did not expect the EU card to arrive after I cancelled the application.

2 Residence Cards (EU & FLR) received - what to do?

Hi all, we're in a bit of an interesting situation here and wonder if anyone can advise. In July we applied for my spouses EU Residence Card. For personal reasons we recently decided to apply for FLR, which we did via Premium Appointment and were successful. We received our FLR residence card (valid...

Re: FLR(M) Application - translations by certified translator

Hi CR001, thanks for the reply. My main concern is that it asks for certification by a qualified translator. The certificate I have been informed that I will receive is not certified directly by the qualified translator himself/herself but the translation company stating that it has been translated ...

FLR(M) Application - translations by certified translator

Hi all, I am in the process of gathering documents for our FLR(M) submission and have hit a snag. Translations require the following: (j) Where any specified documents provided are not in English or Welsh, the applicant must provide the original and a full translation that can be independently verif...

EEA FP switch to FLR(M) - possible?

Hi all, My wife is here in the UK on an EEA Family Permit (via Surinder Singh Route). Rather than apply for Residence Card (worried about Brexit etc and how that will affect SSers), is it possible to apply for FLR(M) instead? I have heard some people have done this but would appreciate some clarific...

Re: Moving from Germany to the UK

thank you for your reply. This might be a good idea indeed. Do you also maybe know where I can get the family permit for free. I tried to fill in a form on https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome and even made an appointment in Dusseldorf. And then I was not sure if this was for British people ...

Re: Moving from Germany to the UK

Hi, yes the non-EEA family member can travel to the UK with an Article 10 or Article 20 Residence Card from an EU member state. However, be aware that UK immigration strongly recommend you get an EEA Family Permit first to avoid any issues at the border. If you can't prove entry requirements for the...

EEA Family Permit - original passport or certified copy?

Hi all, can anyone help? Regarding application for EEA Family Permit for my wife, the application page on gov.co.uk (https://www.gov.uk/family-permit/surinder-singh) states: "You must provide your family member’s valid passport (or a certified copy if you can’t provide the original)" Ideally I want ...
