Re: Work requirement for ILR application through Global Talent route

I've successfully applied for ILR via GT route a year ago. Both the application and the guidance (including recent updates) talk about 'previous earnings'. The letter from employer can be used as evidence that you have worked and earned in your expert field, but it doesn't have to be the current emp...

Re: Police registration after switching from T2 to GTV

Your registration certificate will have to be updated with the information about your new BRP. This is not a new registration and is free (unless you lost your original certificate).

Re: Documents required for Stage 2 Global Talent Visa

Accommodation and finances are definitely not assessed for the purposes of GTV. Are they listed under 'mandatory documents'? Sorry my experience might be not useful for you -- I applied from within UK so different set of papers. I hope someone with a recent experience from outside the UK comes along.

Re: Documents required for Stage 2 Global Talent Visa

Hi! Congrats on your endorsement. Stage 2 applications are usually straightforward. Have you submitted the application yet? You will get a checklist with the required documents once you do. To preview, you will need to submit your passport, TB test results (assuming you are applying from India) and ...

Re: GT Visa Police Registration

Same here, police registrations are suspended until further notice. Don't worry too much and check their website periodically. This will not cause issues as the decision to stop registrations was agreed with the Home Office (at least my local police website says so).

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

To anyone still waiting for an appointment after opting out -- according to UKVCAS helpline emails are being sent out 'in phases' and if you haven't received yours yet you have to wait a bit longer. "Week commencing 10 August" was when they started sending them out, and this process is still ongoing.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Just chiming in here. I have an original application and a variation pending. Both triggered biometric reuse emails, one with August 7th deadline, and one with August 10th. I sent two separate opt out emails on August 4th. Received invitation with the first application's UAN yesterday, nothing yet f...

I have a CoS from a UK university (research fellow position) with a start date of March 31. I am a Russian national and the CoS has my Russian address. At the mo...
