Re: why I voted for brexit

Apart from failed historical arguments that have been proposed here (even the English language evolved from the language of the Saxons and Danish tribes), unfortunately Brexit has closed the wrong borders. The source of (home-grown) terrorism in the UK is that of Commonwealth migration (similar to t...

Re: PR App, cannot decide between 2 qualifying periods

Any suggestions, please? Can I just provide the relevant evidence for all 10 years and submit the application like that without a statement regarding my qualifying period? I additionally also provide evidence for all remaining years, activities and residence, till now. Or do I need to make a choice ...

Re: Have 5 years o continuous employment, was a student pre

I am in the same boat as you, German, PhD 2004-2010! Also sitting on the online form. I have been working part-time though and have half a year of German health insurance during my studies. From what I have read in other forums, you can do either way: say no there, because it is not part of your qua...

PR App, cannot decide between 2 qualifying periods

Hi,
I have two possible qualifying periods, and I cannot make a decision which one I should choose. They are right after one another.

I am thinking to use both and provide the required evidence for exercising treaty rights for both. Is that ok or bad (too much)?

Re: why I voted for brexit

Secret.Simon, your historic view is slightly limited, as Obie already mentioned: the Romans, the Saxons, plus also do not forget the Vikings ... There has really been too much dominance by other countries and powers over the Englishman, and that perhaps is the reason why they have such an awkward , ...

Re: EEA PR - Qualifying Proof

HO is asking for 2-3 documents of evidence per year from 3-4 different sources. In order to get a good idea what you can safely send, I recommend to read their guidance to fill out the EEA (PR) form. Creativity is limitless, but think also GP letters or confirmation of registration, any NHS or hospi...

PR App: no P60 for one year but pay slips, and no tax paid

In the tax year 2005/2006, I was working part-time as a student for most of the year in the range of 400-700£/month. I got all old payslips from the university for that year, but I just realize that I have not paid any tax! I do not understand why I did not pay tax. but will this be a problem to cou...

Re: Absences from the UK and CSI

This is really useful! It also helps with a point in my timeline that I currently am struggling with. However, it just seems really illogical from the UK perspective, as what if one is in another EEA country during that time of absence and were using the British EHIC card? Is it the same also, if as...

Re: Children and EEA-PR application

May I ask on this, is it required to include all nationalities of one's child? Mine has German and Algerian, could there be any problem if I tell both and we do not have any residence docs for his Algerian part?

Re: EEA (PR) for my non-eea unmarried partner

Thank you very much Vinny. How about health insurance during such a period. Is there need to have CSI or another member state's EHIC during travel periods when between employment contracts but travelling outside the UK? Could I also show international travel insurance (valid up to 8 weeks) to avoid ...

PR application, worker, and travel for 2 months

Hello,
During what I want to use as my 5 qualifying years, I have an employment break due to travel for two months. Could that break my qualifying period? Or is travel allowed and does it make a difference to show an international travel insurance for up to 8 weeks?
Thank you :)

Re: why I voted for brexit

EU free movement is based on reciprocity, fee paying club membership, and a huge single market advantages that have helped the UK tremendously (also, there are much better 'benefits' and living standards to be had in many other EU countries, e.g. in my home country child benefit is 190Euros, here it...

Online or Paper PR Application for non-EEA FM?

My non-EEA partner's RC expires. Since February 2017, we could submit the online application. 1. Is it advisable to use online or paper? 2. I originally thought to do the application for him, but since I need to include all my work evidence since 2004, I am thinking if I should just also include mys...

Non-EEA PR and sponsor's 5 years during residence card

Does the sponsor need to qualify continuously during the residence card's valid period or is it sufficient if he/she can show evidence to have qualified for a pr right at an earlier period? I am sponsor and do not have 5 continuous qualifying years during the RC period because I was looking after ou...

Re: EEA (PR) for my non-eea unmarried partner

I am hoping to get some advise. Can somebody help please?
I am almost ready with the form and gathered a lot of evidence, but I feel stuck and hesitant sitting over it alone. I have a few questions, but lawyers charge 500£ upwards for consultation.

EEA (PR) for my non-eea unmarried partner

Hello, My partner has his RC through me since 2012 (application was made in 2011, won through appeal), we have been in a relationship since 2006 and had a baby in 2012. Due to the child, there is some break in my later activity in the UK. What I did not know until the last few months, is that my 5 y...
