Re: Hints and tips for applying for a spousal visa.

The union council is in Pakistan, they will have one in your district somewhere. You have to register the marriage with them. They will then issue you a certificate. The solicitor will not translate it, you have to find someone who can, preferably someone who is registered with the chartered institu...

Re: Hints and tips for applying for a spousal visa.

You will also need your original Urdu Nikah Nama as well as the computer printed certificate that is issued by your local union council. In my personal opinion it will be a better to get the Urdu Nikah Nama translated into English over here by a certified translator. (As you are submitting a documen...

You have to be patient...very patient. I haven't seen my other half since October 2016! Missed our first anniversary and both birthdays as husband and wife! We applied in early March 2017, have had nothing apart from the 31st October email. There have been some users who waited a lot longer than us ...

Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

Congratulations to all those who have recently got their visa's. It's positive news, Inshallah we should get something in the coming days.
I did go to see my MP today, supplied all of our details. I have been told the MP will make an enquiry on our behalf and it can take 20 days for the HO to respond.

Not everyone is waiting for ages. Some people get visas in 60 working days, some even sooner. I follow a Russian from and majority of ladies on there got and are still getting visas within 60 working days. Yes, you are correct, I've been looking at a Nigerian forum and the majority, get their resul...

A miracle has happened!! just received below email from UKVI, without even contacting them. Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

Going off on a slight tangent here... As some of us have been waiting for over 6 months for a decision, what about our spouse's TB certificates (those that have had the tests done). The certificates are only valid for 6 months... Can they travel to the UK, (if the certificate has expired), will they...

is 6 month = 26 weeks (180 days) or 24 weeks
it has been 24 weeks in my case which is 156 days

I think 6 months is 180 days right?
6 months is 180 days. You should be counting working days, Mon to Fri and excluding any bank holidays. So six months is actually 120 (working days).

Re: Receiving document back from Sheffield

Most people get theirs back in about two weeks. Did you send them via recorded delivery, with a self addressed envelope/bag included? (Also was the SAE marked as recorded delivery). If it was sent via recorded, then you should have a tracking number.
