Hi

My status check didn't work until decision was made. It will work when a decision has been made.

I agree with the above. I submitted my priority application from Pakistan on 1st april - until Monday, 'My application was yet to be assessed. So it took 40 workings days just to open my file. They also returned my documents within 2 days but at the moment I think Home Office are just aiming towards...

New UKVI online status tracker

Hi guys I'm not sure everyone is aware but you can check your status online for free from here https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/app/visa_application/checkvisastatus It does not work for everyone but my friend checked her status with her GWF number and it said decided. So I'm thinking the refer...

Mixed messages from UKVI

So I just called UKVI call centre and they said my application is awaiting decision. I was pleased as I had been getting "waiting to be assessed" for some time. However, they said there's been no change since I first submitted. I told my friend who is also applied around the same time and he called ...

Hi,

If you have a NICOP or overseas Pakistani card then you are indeed a dual national. This won't affect your application.

Re: Spouse Settlement visa - call missed from home office

Hi

Don't worry. When HO called me for a different matter they used a withheld number. I was in a meeting at the time and they called 4-5 times before I answered.

Further - settlement cases are resolved in Sheffield which has a 0114 code. So likely it was not HO

Help! Typo on cover letter

I was looking back at my cover letter and instead of family settlement visa I wrote family visit visa (spouse).

I didn't make any mistakes and used the correct application form too but it's just one small mistake.

Please can anyone guide me and let me know if it will be a problem?

Re: Can a Standard settlement visa application be fast track

I'm afraid if he has already submitted his biometrics then he will be unable to change to fast track now.

There's also a bit of a backlog at the moment so even priority visas are taking 6-12 weeks (on average in my opinion).

So I just got some information who is on hold and got some extra information from HO. Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

That is very strange indeed. I'm sorry to hear about your situation. In my humble opinion - in the recent case, it was commented that the income threshold is indeed fair and further that it should be between £18,600 and almost £26k. In my personal opinion I think the government were looking to raise...

From June it will cost £5 for status check

So not sure if everyone knows but from 1st June, it will cost £5.48 for the online UKVI status check and £1.37 per minute to call. So anyone who wants to check and doesn't want to be ripped off, make sure you check before this date. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_dat...
