Also, can I attend the ceremony in a different council than what I had chosen during the application? No. In order to do this, you have to request it from UKVI. The c...

Re: Employment before naturalization.

The qualifying period is 5 years, not 6. if you entered the UK on the 16 Jan 2017 AND by 16 Dec 2022 you will have held ILR for at least 12 months you will be eligible to apply on 16 Dec 2022 as you completed 5 years of living in the UK. As advised by CR001 .... Perfect - thank you both for clarify...

You need to have been physically present in the UK on the 16 Dec 2017 (5 years ago from 15 Dec 2022) not in 2018.
I entered the UK on 16th Jan 2017 does that mean that I can apply only after 16th Jan 2023

Re: Employment before naturalization.

1. Employment is NOT a requirement for citizenship. 2. You can apply once you have held ILR for 12 full months. So apply anytime after 15th December, provider you were physically present in the UK at the same time 5 years ago. Thank you, CR001 On the second question, I was away from 16 Dec 2018 to ...

thanks - so you mean I can submit my application now and upload all docs and pay the fees and staff but I have to make an appointment during those 28th days?
