Re: Will my conditional discharge affect my ILR?

Hello everyone, sorry if this has been posted before, I searched but the results weren't conclusive. I have an ongoing application for ILR, 2 years and a month since it started. Refused, appealed, we won the appeal and Home Office said they will grant it back in September 2021. Its past the 6 month...

Re: Do ongoing criminal cases affect the visa process?

Thank you very much for confirming. I am completely out of trouble but my ex knows this and has been trying to relentlessly frustrate the process. I am literally on 7 allegations now, 5 have been proven false and thrown out of court. Another 2 will be cleared in the next few weeks. But she has said...

Re: Is it second stage letter?

That is the first letter aka acknowledgment letter. Applicant should already or soon should get eVetting letter. After eVetting is done and viewed give it few months and you should get the decision. I don’t think there is second letter anymore. It’s in the order of: acknowledgement, eVetting, pay t...

Re: Is it second stage letter?

It seems more like an acknowledgement (IE first) letter, but feel free to correct me. Did this person receive anything else before it? What is the timeline? People that applied not that long ago seem to not necessarily get second letters, so that might be all you need. Thanks for replying . This le...

Re: Dependent parent/ request for evidence of dependency .

Vinny sir please while we have your attention on this post could you please shed some light on whether dependent parents have an option of retention of rights ? And also if a mere separation but no divorce is a problem for future ILR application? I have read the guidance but it was too hard for me t...

Re: Do ongoing criminal cases affect the visa process?

Sorry to hear about your situation. Until and unless these ongoing criminal proceeding are all concluded your application will unfortunately remain pending. There is no point pushing it now. When you get all Clear just send them the proof and your application will resume. Even if you get convicted f...

Re: Step children Euss scheme

Can only speak from experience of being a relevant person of Northern Ireland with two step children, both under 18. Both were also non-EU nationals. Both of step children qualified for EU settlement scheme with one getting pre settled status and the other settled status. They were already in the U...

Re: Unique situation. Please share your thought

What I am struggling to understand is the purpose of the caseworkers phone call.
She did not ask me for nay information or documents but just told me why they can't grant me status .
If she had already reached a conclusive a decision why not just send the decision letter ?
Still no decision letter

Re: Unique situation. Please share your thought

I am not suggesting it has any legal implications. If you read my post you will appreciate that's not my position. I am merely referring to the irrelevance of an Irish citizen applying for one. Thanks for clarifying. I think both myself and the OP managed to misinterpret what you said. Just to wrap...

Re: Unique situation. Please share your thought

That will be unlawful, as you status is independent of what your partner chooses to apply for. Partner should not have applied for PSS in the first place. Thanks for your kind reply. We thought it will help with my initial application back then. Regretting it now 😌 Can you please share exact wordin...

Re: Unique situation. Please share your thought

Partner should not have applied for PSS in the first place. Why? They are free to apply, and this is recommended to expedite the spouses' application. Why I believe is completely wrong is the issuing of Pre Settled instead of Settled. She was issued pre settled status I double checked decision lett...

Re: Unique situation. Please share your thought

when did the sponsor become an Irish-only citizen? 17/01/2020 Thanks Then you can claim Settled Status on 17/01/2025 not before. You need to have spent 5 years as the spouse of a EEA National, NOT a British national. But I applied as spouse of relevant person of Northern Ireland in which case Briti...
