Re: Application for EEA Family Permit but T5 YM Visa expires

Hello again, Just a run down of the process I went through - I should preface this by saying that I am by no means an expert and every case is different. A good immigration consultant will give you some guidance over the phone before you apply. My T5 expired July 2017, I began the application proces...

Re: Application for EEA Family Permit but T5 YM Visa expires

Hello! I've been through the same process (T5 expired July 2017, EU partner visa just arrived). I stayed in the country. I spoke to an immigration lawyer who said it's a grey area. Technically as the unmarried partners of EU citizens, we don't have documents that prove our right to live and work her...

Re: Unmarried partners - how to prove durable Relationship

Hello! I am the unmarried partner of an EU citizen. I applied for a Residence card rather than a family permit but I understand that the guidance for a family permit is different. It seems it is assessed on a case by case basis. Here is the guidance relating to your situation: https://www.gov.uk/gov...

Re: EEA Family Permit or Residence card?

You don't need a COA or RC - your sponsorship as Union citizen who is a qualified (or settled) person is enough to confer the right to reside, work, study on your spouse. Technically you don't, however without a family permit and no other visa to support your right to work, you will fail a Right to...

Re: Youth mobility visa to EEA extended family overstaying?

Hello! Exact same situation as me - Tier 5, expired while waiting for a decision on my partner visa. I've just received a decision (no sign of card yet). I spoke to an immigration lawyer about this and he said it's a very grey area. It could be argued that as the partner of EU citizens, deporting us...

Re: EEA2 card delivery delay

Mine seems to be taking a long time too. I'm not at the 10 working days mark yet, it's been 7 working days but even that seems long compared to other's timelines. Did it arrive yet?

No cover letter of EFM application. Is this bad?

Hi everyone, I'm four months into my wait for my EFM visa (NZ partner of Dutch citizen, a QP). I follow this forum daily for any updates on timelines and have just realised that people include cover letters in their applications. I did not. I included more than the required documentation to prove ou...

Applying for Family Permit while EEA (EFM) RC is processing

Hi everyone, I am currently on a Tier 5 Youth Mobility visa - expires July 2017. I have an EEA2 (EFM) application underway, I'm 3 months in (decision by end of September). I'm the fiance of a QP (all relevant documentation of our 7 year relationship provided). I have a CoA without work. This leaves ...

Re: CoA without work help

Ah ok - thanks, that makes sense. So might I be issued with a new CoA once I've done my biometrics? Or would I have to apply for a new CoA in order to be issued with a new one.

Appreciate the help!!

Re: CoA without work help

Yes we have, we've been living together for 5 years and together 7. We have provided several tenancy agreements in our names, as well as bills dating back 5 years in both our names.

CoA without work help

Hi everyone, Apologies if this has been posted already but I did search and couldn't find anything that specifically answered my questions. I am in the process of applying for an EEA Extended Family Member RC as an unmarried partner (fiancé is an EU qualified person, no PR). I am currently on a Yout...
