Re: visitor visa for newly employed in their home country

> This is not really specified but would think minimum 6months will be for a start Thank you. 6 months sounds like a lot, I thought of 3. I tried to search for it in any caseworker guidances too but it doesn't seem to be there. I don't suppose there may be an analogy, e.g. when someone supplies an e...

visitor visa for newly employed in their home country

Hello! I live in the UK, and a friend of mine would like to visit me. However, they have only recently started their new job in their home country, and they have been between jobs for a few months before. How many months of employment are going to work as an "economical tie" with their home country?

Re: AN + MN1 for a family of 3 been here for 6 yrs all having ILR: apply separately or together?

> Each application is processed individually. > Each applicant must meet the requirements on their own merits Great, thanks for explanation. That makes sense to me for adults AN applications, but for a child's MN1 application, I hope, they can process a parent first, and that's what the following qu...

Re: AN + MN1 for a family of 3 been here for 6 yrs all having ILR: apply separately or together?

But sometimes an application may only be approved upon approval of another application, but they still can be submitted simultaneously, isn't it? E.g. for a child born abroad. Or perhaps for a spouse who has been in the UK for 3 but not for 5 years? By submitting them as a whole online, do I set any...

Re: AN + MN1 for a family of 3 been here for 6 yrs all having ILR: apply separately or together?

Thank you > For Naturalization, everyone becomes eligible on their own. And even in the situations where a child or a spouse only becomes eligible if a parent or another spouse gets it, is it still irrelevant whether they apply together or separately? Also, what do you think about the questions for ...

AN + MN1 for a family of 3 been here for 6 yrs all having ILR: apply separately or together?

Hello, we are a family of 3, the child was born outside the UK. Our immigration history is the following: 2015 Tier 2 for the husband, Tier 2 dependant for wife and child. 2018 Tier 2 extension for the husband, Tier 2 dependant extension for wife and child. 2021 ILR for them all using 5-year route N...

I mean, how the ceremony date is assigned. Do they offer you only one date? Are group ceremonies still not going on pretence of a pandemic?

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Hello, I've got a question about the process: what normally happens after an application is approved? In particular, how much flexibility do I have regarding the ceremony date? This message suggests that I may get a ceremony date assigned straight away, but may be given some time (20 working days?) ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi, I'm struggling to book a free or an affordable appointment for my and my family's ILR application, and I wonder if anyone knows any additional info about the service points? I have read the list of them https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/soprasteria-ukvi-prd-ukvcas/OpeningHours.pdf and I know ho...

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

Thanks, I know it should ideally be a single letter or split into absence and employment letter. Just asking whether it's acceptable if it's split differently, as my HRs refuse to confirm my business trips, and my line manager is not allowed to confirm my holidays.

in particular, do you think it would be acceptable if holidays and other work-related absences were in two separate letters?

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

Hi, thanks for your help. A few more questions if you don't mind: 1) Regarding the letter from the employer. Is it okay if the necessary info (absence dates, SOC code, "foreseeable future" clause and wage) is split between two letters? Both are official and come on a headed paper. It's just HR Team ...

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

Absences, all absences, are the only relevant thing here. I would appreciate if you could specify what do you mean by "absence". Does the word absence here mean absence from the country? Absence from work office? Being off work? So, I'm on Tier 2 and there were days when I was physically outside th...

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

I repeat again that you are making your own assumptions here. Please tell me which one is incorrect or unreasonable? I genuinely don't understand what you are talking about. As long as your employer provides that the absences were approved, you should be fine. What do you mean by absences here? Abs...

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

Let me explain. It wasn't my absence from work but was my absence from the country -- that's the thing. In other words, I was allowed to work remote from abroad -- although was not asked to. According to this answer from Home Office , I need a confirmation about this from my employer, but they are n...

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

And a second one, regarding partial days away. I know they are not counted towards 180 days, are they still checked to be consistent with employment? I've had a few days like departing 3am and returning e.g. midday next day, one of them being a work day.

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

One more question. I heard that up to 30 working days of absence per annum don't require mentioning them in the employer letter. Is this per calendar year? Can I use this workaround for some years but not for others? E.g. the letter would say I had some paid+unpaid (<4week) in 2020 with dates, same ...

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

Can you not move the funds into one account in readiness to make the one cumulative payment?
That'd be tricky, as at least one of them is a credit card. I'll figure out if I can overpay it first and then spend more than the credit limit.

Re: can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

When applying separately, is it safe to apply at the same date in this case? Or do we have to wait until main applicant is granted an ILR in this case?

can main applicant and dependants apply together but pay separately? applying online non-premium service

When applying for an ILR online, can the main applicant (currently Tier 2, 5-year route) and their two dependants (Tier 2 dependants currently, 5-year route too) apply at the same time but pay separately? The thing we may not have the triple amount available in the same account or bank card. We are ...

Re: reusing an expired IELTS Academic for an ILR application

> it’s on the current list of recognised tests

That's something I'm not sure I can find out easily. Is IELTS Academic a special case of IELTS for UKVI, or are they unrelated? IELTS for UKVI is on the list, while IELTS Academic is not.
