Yes, I was refused before in Old Critieria and this was my 2nd attempt in Old rules.

Sorry to hear about rejection. I read it somewhere on some other thread where the applicant was rejected and he reapplied using xerox copy of the approval letter.

I got approval 15 days back after waiting for 3 months. Applied under old rules on 19th Oct and got approval on 11th Jan.

Apprval letter is valid until 6 months and after getting EC, you should enter UK in 3 months because your ILR clocks starts from the day you get your visa.

I am in process of gathering documents to appear for EC. Is that OK if my brother who is in UK on student visa can send me Accomodation Letter?

He is living with his wife in independent 2 bed room apartment? Can there be any potential problem he being on student Visa?
