Hi all, got refund last week of £350. Seems a bit low, but can't remember for sure. Was FLR for one plus two dependants only £350 in August 2007?

Best of luck to those waiting on refund still. Took us nearly five months from application.

I would expect to call or email HO in two months if you don't get an application confirmation letter.

Thank you all. I will send the form tomorrow. Who knows I might be lucky to get a refund. Please does anyone know what: HSMP Reference Number and PRN are? I haven't got any specific HSMP reference number to my knowledge and neither do I know what PRN is meant to be. Cheers TroyGuy, we used our FLR ...

I disagree with Bani on this. We were told by HO that process was not automatic even if you have ILR before JR date. We fall into this category having ILR since 2008, but had to send in the application before getting letter. HO told us the letter was sent as confirmation of our application for refun...

The refund still applies to you TroyGuy. You would still have received ILR at four years instead of five. Not sure about FLR for only two months. Maybe someone else can shed light. You should apply very soon. HO has the loophole that anyone who does not apply before May 2010 will not get the refund....

Still no refund. Nearly four months now since I sent the application. Each time I call HO, they say they are working on the backlog.

Has anyone been paid yet?

Got a letter from Home Office dated 12 August about terms of the Judicial Review. However still no refund! I called today and found out that we have another six to eight weeks from the date of the letter. So now we are nearly four months from the refund application send date without refund. HO also ...

Called HO today. They say none of us will get confirmation, rather a cheque for the refund up to several months from the date we send our applications.

They are currently dealing with applications received June 5th.

Hi, we never got a specific confirmation of payment when applying for the extension eliigeable for refund, so we used the application confirmation number (ref# on the letter we got just after mailing in the FLR(HSMP)). We should stay on top of this as HO would prob rather we all not get this refund ...

HSMP FLR refund details?

Does anyone know who we need to write to in order to get our refund for fourth year HSMP extension? I see conditions of the refund posted everywhere, but no one seems to know how we are to be awarded. I called UK Border and Immigation last week and they said we will get a letter in the mail. However...

Yes, maybe. Surprising though as we have always been on the level. Taxes completed on time, etc. Perhaps if you are an employee this would not happen? Still, to be safe, I would bring in records showing a year economic activity as it is up to them if you have supplied enough information.

Hi Paul, we applied in person at Croyden last year and were surprised that showing economic activity meant matching up bank records with reported income. We had to race back home and submit all invoices for the last year along with all bank records. Not sure why they needed this as we were clearly m...

Citizenship, 4 yrs 11mo HSMP, 1yr ILR

Hi, I've seen conficting infomation on this question. We are allowed to apply for ILR one month early and we did, in person Croyden. Are we now eligible for Citizenship 5yrs and 11 months as long as we have been here under ILR for a full year? Guidance notes suggest yes, but notes on workpermit.com ...

WORK PERMIT to Tiers 2 and 3?

A friend of mine is here under the work permit scheme. She has two years left to complete 5 years for ILR. Will she be unable to renew her permit after changes this year? Am I correct in interpreting the tier system - Work Permit will be either Tier 2 (shortage lists), or Tier 3 (soon to be blocked ...

Hi LondonBlonde, One query: I got EC last week. If I go to UK and rules change in March then I suppose the rules for flr will also change. So in my case, during FLR, will I be assessed as per new rules after 2 years? Or even if new rules come in March, during FLR I will be assesed as per old rules ...

Re: HSMP New Rules

Hi folks Does any one know that the rules for qualifying HSMP will be changing from this year i believe March.is this true? Ya, no one knows for sure what the new requirements will be. Everyone is hoping that conditions for tier 1 will be the same as current HSMP criterea. However recent news on th...

niw2 - I don't think anyone can answer your question with certainty. Here goes. 1) Maybe - I assume the conviction is a DUI or the like. Was someone killed? Could be that you will be refused, but then again maybe no. 2) How much more time before 5 years is up? This might be a good idea to wait, howe...

Gypsy - you won't get the definite response you are looking for as no one knows yet. The exact criterea will be announce in early 2008. Some believe the criterea will be identical, and some believe that it will be more difficult than the current rules. If you are looking to pass FLR next year, you s...

If you've seen this paper before, it's all making more sense to me. Ja, I think WP will be mostly tier 3 and sponsorship rather than points. I don't see this the same way as forcing HSMP into non-settlement. WP holders were not gauranteed settlement as HSMP was. The paper does say clearly that this ...
