Update on 'ILR in previous passport back in UK'

Just an update. I recalled scanning and emailed a copy of my ILR to a colleague. So, I printed out a copy of my ILR and presented to checkin in US. I did not encounter any problems flying from US back to UK via Amsterdam. It was accepted by UKBA and I was advised I should always carry my old passpor...

Help! Left ILR in previous passport in uk

Need some advice pls.

Have flown to the states but forgot to bring my previous passport containing my ILR. I have managed to print out a copy which I have saved online. I am also enrolled to IRIS but the airport I'm retuning to does not have IRIS facility.

Will I have trouble getting back to UK?

I don't want to bring along my british passport when I travel to my other country which doesn't allow dual citizenship. I've heard of folks who travel back to UK using their non british passport with ILR stamp and even produced their cert of registration. Just wondered if anyone else had such experi...

Entering UK with Cert of Naturalisation on Non-UK passport

As a holder of British and non-british passport(which doesn't allow dual nationality), am I allowed to arrive back at UK airport with my non-british passport and certificate of naturalisation?

Or should I use the ILR at my old non-british passport?

Opinions appreciated.

Registration as British Citizen.

I've discovered the reason why they wrote to me. This is due to discrepancy on my form.

Just have to delay the application for one more week unfortunately.

Letter sent by UKBA after registration

Hi all, I have applied for registration one month ago. I called to enquire the progress of my application and was told a letter has been sent out for me to check and return it to UKBA. I had submitted my application through NCS. Does anyone else has similar experience? I have been told over the phon...

I am unsure as to how you can give up your British Passport. With regards to previous msgs of using your malaysian passport to enter/exit Malaysia and presenting your British passport on arrival back in UK, one word of warning. I actually do know a Malaysian who has been caught in KL airport with Br...

naturalisation or registration?

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply.

I'm slightly confused. I thought as a BOC(british national), I can register as a british citizen instead of naturalisation?

Registration of BOC - discretion of 1 year ILR?

Hi guys, I have a question for the forum. I arrived in the UK in Feb 1999. In Nov 2008, I applied for LTR under Tier 1 General. This was rejected due to insufficient funds and I was given right to appeal via AIT. Court hearing was in end of Feb 09 and my appeal was successful. However, I did not rec...

Pucmac, U cannot submit a new application as your current leave has expired. This should be stated in your rejection letter issued by UKBA. The options are: (1) to leave the country and apply back home. This might take up to 6 weeks or more. This would also 'reset your clock' should you choose to ap...

Blade1759,
I did provide Recorded Delivery slip to the judge to say I did send the documents to HO.

My savings did dip below 800 to overdraft 200.....that was my biggest stupid mistake.

Hi Chemicalguy,
Did you provide your payslips as well on top of your P60 and 4 months bank statements?

I was rejected for providing 12 months payslips and P60. However, I managed to argue my case at AIT stating I won't have my new P60 till April this year, and I won my case.

Dear hindian, Sorry to hear your application has been rejected by UKBA. Unfortunately, I have to agree with push_hsmp. If you only have 11 months of bank statements, that does not collaborate with your 12 months bank statement. This is stipulated in the guidance. My advice to you would be to approac...

There is no temporary document which could allow you to leave the country. You can leave the country if u want, problem arises when u get back to the country, u won't be allowed to work on a tourist visa. If UKBA at airport discover ur purpose of visit is to work in this country but don't have a val...

I think it would be unlikely u'll get the visa by May assuming your appeal is successful. Correct me if I'm wrong. Have u been given 10 days to appeal to AIT? Assuming u are given 10 days to appeal, your hearing date should be some point mid April. Judgement will be issued 2 weeks after that period ...

Sorry to hear that mate. I take it u applied for ILR based on 10 year long residence 18 months ago? The law has changed last year. If u left the country and came back with a fresh visa, the gap is considered acceptable. U might be able to argue on that point. Do u have a lawyer representing u at AIT?

Hey priya, I've replied to your pvt msg. Once u have received the Rejection Letter from HO, u are given a choice of whether u're allowed to appeal or not. If u are allowed to appeal, u have to lodge the appeal with AIT within 10 days. This usually involve sending in the appeal forms. Once the appeal...

Some will stamp for u, some won't. If they don't, best is to get them to print it on bank letterhead with logo on the paper. That would be your best option if they refuse to stamp it.

Hi there, In your circumstances, I would provide them the 27 January to 26th February bank statements, pref after 26th Feb. I am slightly intrigued by your questions. Tier 1 allows you to work in the UK. As far as I'm aware, as long as u can provide evidence according to the requirements 12 months prior to your date of application, ie: in 2 years time, that should be fine. Bear that in mind with regards to the minimum pr...
