Thanks for the quick response. Out of curiosity, I'm interested to know where it officially states that you have to be in the UK when your application is received by the UKBA. There are lots of references to the requirement of being in the UK 3 / 5 years before the date of application, but I have se...

I am in the same situation and additionally for work related reasons I have to be away, two days after I become eligible. I want to submit my application to NCS a day before (e.g got ILR on 02 March 2012, submit application to NCS on 01 March 2012 to hopefully get to UKBA by the 2nd or 3rd March). I...

Asim72, thanks for your quick response and clarification. The wording of the guide did create some doubt when I read into it. The doubt was caused by the guidance wording - Manager ' of a ' (which suggests the MD / most senior manager /Boss) rather than - Manager ' in a ' (which suggest any Manager ...

Both docs state that HSMP JD are exempt from time period, income and life in UK. B...

Hi Goldfish,
I'm not clear on how you could be in the scope of the HSMP judicial review. This was for applicants before Nov 2007. If you entered up to 9 months later, you would have extended already. ????

Hi, I disagree with ukvisaguru_co_uk about the Tier 1 rules. Since you got initial HSMP before Nov 07 2006, your extensions will always fall under the old rules. All pre Nov 07 2006 HSMP jr persons got a Tier 1 stamp since Tier 1 was introduced. However their extensions are under the JR old rules. P...

The same thing happened to me. They will keep your application for some time then send it back as invalid. Writing to them instructiing alternate payment arrangements would not even help because payment processing is in a different place from the caseworkers. Your application is sitting somewhere co...

This thread / alleged letter from Phil Woolas sounds very dodgy to me. Think about it. I hope I am prov...

Here we go again !!. The Home Office has made the point many times that they can adjust the qualifying points bar for new or extension criteria at any time. That way they can control numbers of migrants admitted or allowed to continue in the programme (either Tier 1 or Post Nov 2006 HSMP). Since Post November 2006 there...

If you are short by one month it means that you can apply for an extension close to your leave end (say 7 days before) and before the case is decided you can apply for ILR. This is because you can apply for ILR 28 days before the 5 year residence period is up. So in my senario 10 days after applying...
