What kind of skills has she got? Why should an employer want to hire her as opposed to a British citizen, permanent resident, or EEA/Swiss citizen? What constitute skill? Having a piece of paper qualification does not suggest competency in that skill. By all accounts, a person might acquire skills ...

I assume she is allowed to look for any job whilst on BOC and not governed by HSMP rules. provided the employer is willing to apply working permit for her. She has to go the route : working permit (LTR).
to ILR then BC. is that feasible

The mother is going to give up her Malaysian citizenship and from what I believe apply for a work permit ? Are all that feasible for her to eventually obtain LTR then ILR then BS?

Hi everyone,
Someone born in 1992 (age 14) in Penang with a mother born in Penang who has BOC status. Is the person elligible to apply for BOC?
If not, what is the best way forward as the mother will proceed to ILR and then BS and not want to leave her child behind?
your opinions much appreciated.
