Re: ROR after divorce refused

@Sam_12357 Do you mind sharing the exact wording of your refusal letter? As you mentioned you provided an expired copy of your sponsors passport, that’s why your ROR was refused. Requirement is to provide valid Passport/ID and expired copy of passport isn’t valid.

Re: Status for Non EEA Permanent Residence Refused

Hi, yes weekends are included. If you can cover your husband's employment gap with job seeking evidence then you'll be fine. Home office wants to see evidence of treaty right exercised for continuous 5 years.

Re: Status for Non EEA Permanent Residence Refused

IMO you should seek advice from a legal expert. Not long ago i read on this forum someone got away with a 3 month employment gap. My ex wife had 2 employment gaps of 11 days and 86 days which I'll cover with evidence of jobseeking. She was always employed during last 5 years apart from the 2 gaps I ...

Re: Status for Non EEA Permanent Residence Refused

Good morning, was the employment gap over 90 days? Do you have any evidence of your sponsor looking for job? What's the exact wording on refusal letter? If you file an appeal you'll be allowed to work but if you go for a fresh application you'll have to wait until home office sends you a COA. Second...

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

No, you can apply for PR without ROR if you have lived in the UK for 5 years and your sponsor was exercising treaty rights continuously during that time. I'm only a few weeks short of my 5th anniversary, I'd rather wait a few weeks to apply for PR instead of applying for ROR now and send another app...

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

@jay.ho As an applicant you cannot provide a photocopy of your own passport or ID. I was referring to photocopy of sponsors ID/Passport.

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

@jay.ho No, it doesn't say that provide original passport. That particular application was refused because an expired passport photocopy was submitted and home office said they expect a valid passport not expired. I haven't read one post on this forum where applicant was refused on the basis of prov...

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

@Richard I have only shared what i was told by 3 different immigration experts and just to get an advice I paid hundreds of pounds. 2 of those said there's no need for the original ID or passport, a photo copy of a valid ID is fine. While third one said if I can get the original ID that would be gre...

Re: Retain rights need passport back

@Rkohdi The photo copy you provided of your ex's ID was it a valid ID or an expired one? I personally know someone who's application was refused because they provided an expired copy of passport and in appeal they provided a valid copy of ID. He got his ROR. Also, if you could tell us what's the exa...

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

Law says you can apply for PR if you have lived in the UK for continuous 5 years as per EEA rules. I was married to an EEA national for 4 years and 10 months and she was exercising treaty rights (which i will prove with her employment history, payslips, p60s etc). After divorce I have been exercisin...

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

@RAHEEL007 I don't think photo copy of expired ID/Passport will be accepted as requirement is for a valid ID, an expired ID isn't valid.

Re: NON EEA PR REFUSED HELP NEEDED

Guys I went to see at least 3 different top immigration lawyers in London to discuss my case and inquire about providing my ex's original ID. All of them said a photo copy of a valid ID would do the job, it doesn't say anywhere in home office rules and regulations to provide an original ID of your s...

EEA or PR? PLEASE HELP ME

Hi there, My residence card runs out in few months and i would appreciate if forum members could help me please. A bit about myself, I came to UK on a student visa in early 2011 and met my eea national wife in summer of 2012. After being in a relationship for a few months we got married in October 2...

Re: PR Application and eea id

@007RAHEEL You have a point but I'm sure if you could manage a photo copy of your ex's ID you will acquire PR. I personally know someone who's acquired PR by sending a scanned copy of their ex's ID. As per my understanding you need a valid ID (not expired) of your ex. Btw is there anything else ment...

Re: Additional documents to Case Worker for PR- Help pls

Hi, did you acquire your PR successfully? My 5th wedding anniversary is in 1st week of October and I have been advised by a friend to apply for ROR asap and vary my application once I complete 5 years in October for PR. Is there anyone who could help? Thanks

Re: PR Application and eea id

@007RAHEEL Did you not even attach a photo copy of your ex's ID? @Obie We all forum users are grateful for your help, you have been a messiah to many people on here who like myself aren't willing to spend £1000s ok solicitors. I posted my case history a couple of days ago i was wondering if you coul...

Re: PR Application and eea id

It's funny that you can retain your right without ex's ID but can't be issued a PR. Basically I'm going to apply for ROR but after few weeks i'll ask HO for variation of my application as it's going to be 5th anniversary of my wedding in 5 weeks time.
